VanCity Moving helped us out in a very tight situation. We had hired another company but that company (Galaxy) totally dropped the ball on the day of our move. We called VanCity in a panic and they were there within the hour! The movers were super friendly and very professional. Please note: VanCity is very different in terms of how they do their pricing, but in the end, I think it's worth it. The owner comes in person and takes a look at what you have. He then gives you a firm quote that absolutely will not change (other companies charge by the hour but then drag their feet and add on a bunch of surcharges). They are perhaps a bit more than some of the other companies but their professionalism makes it worthwhile. Other companies contract out to independent truck owners and therefore you never know who you're going to get. Every mover VanCity uses works for VanCity and you get to deal directly with the owner so the service is superb. The only negative I will mention is that I think their packing prices are too high. We had originally thought to use them for packing too but were put off by the price. However, I think the price for just the moving was more than fair.
