I was looking for 4 quotes 2 from some bigger names in Calgary and two from smaller organizations.
-First bigger named company never showed up for a scheduled quote.
-Second bigger named company I was going to use as I had used them before
-First smaller company I found thought my contractor, most expencive.
-Williams HVAC found on homestars

My original plan was to go with what I knew, Williams HVAC was my last quote and almost did not happen as they where not able to quote until a week after my last previous quote, they also did it when I was working and my wife was around so I could not ask any questions at the time, truly I just wanted to get another quote I never planned to use them.

After the quote I still planned to use bigger named company but I did some research on the recommended equipment, warranty, etc and sent emails to both to gather more information.

I changed my mind and went with Williams HVAC and here is why.
- Cost right in the middle, very competitive
- Warranty two years not one
- Got very quick and good responses through email
- Did not feel like I was getting taken for.

Install was over two days
Pro's
- showed up on time
- explained what was going to happen kept me informed
- asked me what I wanted for install items(venting, air con placement) as they went I was never out of the loop
- Cleaned up very well after both days
- very informative
- went the extra mile to make sure everything was up to code and it looked good
- What I was quoted was what I paid.
- had some thermostat issues, I chose to keep the one I had and not get a new one they came out the next day to look it over and help figure out the issue(issues was with the thermostat)

Con's
- Had to send two emails to get the permit number (not really an issue just needed to put down a con)

I am happy I am a procrastinator and waited the extra 7 days for the quote from Williams HVAC and did my research.

They have also offered to come out in the summer next year to double check the air conditioner as it was installed in cooler weather and tougher to set up and test at this time.

Definitely worth having Chris come out and give a quote.

Williams HVAC was highly recommend and I am not disappointed. Chris presented the different options available to us in a clear and concise manner and we picked the right option for us. I am impressed with his Professionalism, Quality of work and his Customer Service. We sure appreciate that he was able to help us out so quickly after our existing tank failed.

My house was built in 1960's and had still had the original furnaces. Fitting today’s new technology in an older house was no small feat. Chris and Kyle worked their magic and made everything come together in a very organized and tidy manner ensuring that all City of Calgary Codes were met. Chris’s expert knowledge and professional advice was greatly appreciated ensuring that I purchased a system that was suited for my house and lifestyle.

Chris goes above and beyond just the quoted system; he corrected what was a poorly vented dryer and also place additional CO2 detectors in the house at no additional costs.

In the end I have 2 new Furnaces, a new Hot Water Tank, new Thermostats, 2 new Air Filtrations, Steam Humidifier and a new Soft Water system, with A/C being installed in the spring all within the quoted amount…..

I found this company on Homestars. I was getting quotes from 2 other contractors. Chris the owner came to do a free estimate on installing HVAC for our basement. One of the first steps to do before doing the electrical and plumbing. His quote was competitive and I like that he had a warranty on his services. His price was actually similar to another contractor, but the other contractor had a minimal warranty, whereas Chris had a 2 year labor warranty. So that was icing on the cake. His brother Kyle came the following Saturday and installed everything within the time frame promised. I gave 9 stars instead of 10 because after we confirmed for a Saturday install, I was told I would be informed what time his brother would arrive. But he didn't tell me until the day before and that was after I contacted him already a couple times to ask. HOWEVER, the install was well done and I would recommend and use them again.

Chris was my 4 of 5 quotes I had done for a new furnace and central a/c installation. Our house was built in 1979 and had the original furnace. From the 5 quotes I had done, Chris was by far the best value with the best equipment. Some of the other big name businesses in Calgary quoted me the same price for either almost bottom of the list barely heard of brands, or for a single stage furnace. Chris also quoted for all the necessary upgrades for the City of Calgary code. Most others did not. No surprises at the end with Chris the final bill as quoted! Also the city inspector was here all passed. Thanks to Chris and his staff for a job well done and the best bang for my buck! It pays to shop around.

I call Chris for furnace tune up and he did awesome job.

also he fix one of my basement duct which been not-connected to other duct so we were not getting hot-air in living area. before Chris i asked someone to come and look at it they suggest to Cut and open ceiling to access damper to Install access panel , that will cost me $250
but Chris fixed this in 30 min without any damage my ceiling which cost me only 50$ for his time ...

I say, Chis is an experienced HVAC technician and he knows what he is doing.. !!!

Chris was referred to me by a co-worker. We had a 25-yr old gas furnace that was going to have to be replaced shortly and I decided to get it done now. Chris came to the house to look things over and outlined the options, the process and the timing. The installation was completed as planned, the old furnace was removed and the workspace left clean. It was all very professional. Chris promptly returned to address a minor item identified by the City gas inspector. I was pleased by Williams HVAC's work and would highly recommend them.

Our Air Conditioning stopped working, and during the hottest day of the year Chris was able to come out and quickly fix the problem. He was very professional, efficient and I would recommend him to anyone needing this type of service.

I called Chris at Williams HVAC on a Friday afternoon of a long weekend and even though he was already very busy due to the flooding in our city at the time he made a point of coming to repair our AC unit ASAP as he recognized the extreme temperatures that were being forecast. Chris is very professional and very knowledgeable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He has quickly become our "go to" guy for all HVAC needs.
