We recently hired Green Side Up to build our fence. They were great. Showed up when the said they would, did the work in one day, cleaned up after themselves and were completely professional. They don’t send a guy or two either, there’s a whole team showing up! Would highly recommend for someone looking for a hassle-free experience.

Refreshing Find

I went for quote on an adjoining fence project and obtained four quotes.
3 of the companies came to site to look at the job and one company didn't even bother coming to site.
When Grant from Green Side Up Contracting showed up I could tell that this company was a bit different from the rest in that there was no BS, every aspect of what they would do (the process) was explained in detail, the site inspection was thorough and the detailed quotation outlining what I would pay and what my neighbour would pay was clearly laid out (including a section for options should we wish to go with them) and promptly presented.
When we decided to go with this company Grant and Robert showed up and again walked us though the process but this time even took into account concerns my neighbour had for existing structures near the fence line.
Robert was amazing in the way he got rid of the old fence, redesigned and rebuilt a new one in its place single handily whilst taking into account every detail we had discussed.
I was very pleasantly surprised with the way this company actually took pride in the work they did from detailed planning to the masterful workmanship to the customer care.
They asked for a 10% deposit upfront and the remainder was payable upon the completion of the project to our complete satisfaction.
This company is a true find and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

The work was first class and done faster than i thought. It was a messy job with lots of dirt being removed and moved around
As it was made from old railway tyes if you look at the finish product yoi would never know there was work done as it looks like it was always there.i would recommend these guys to anybody who needs landscaping done as the price was good and the job was done on time and professionally.

Deck, walls, and pergola demolish and build

Jay and Zach were the only company willing to take on the herculean task of dismantling and rebuilding my 3rd floor roof deck, and I'm so glad they were! Because it is a row house, there is no access to the deck except through the house, meaning every piece of the old build and every new piece of wood had to be brought, by hand, down and up 2 flights of stairs. Not only did they undertake this without complaint, they did beautiful work, covering up a number of house-based issues. We've had nothing but compliments on the deck, both in person and in pictures, and it will surely be a selling point for any potential buyer in the future. For now, we get to enjoy this beautiful oasis in the city.

New Fence

My wife and I moved into our house just over 1 year ago. After our consultation with Green Side Up, we felt very comfortable moving forward with our new fence project. The ongoing communication with Grant and Jay was excellent. We ran into some delays through the municipality and Grant was able to accommodate us despite this being busy season for fence installations. The fence material quality was very high, and the installation was excellent (posts installed deep and with concrete in addition to a reinforced gate). Green Side Up worked very efficiently and left our backyard clean and ready to use as soon as the project was completed. We are very satisfied with the whole experience and would recommend Green Side Up.

Whenever I look for a reliable company for home projects and services, my go-to source has always been the reviews at Homestars. True enough, I found the right company to replace our 20 year-old fence. To be honest, I had a couple of issues/concerns during the project but they have been resolved quickly. Green Side up Contracting Inc. deserves its 10-star rating. I'm satisfied with the new fence. Thank you Mariana and Jay.
By the way, they also do interlocking so I'm asking them for a quote right now :)

Replacement steps

I contacted multiple companies regarding a small job, to replace the stairs leading out to the backyard. Only this company responded promptly and professionally. Steve did an amazing job on the new steps and after he was done my backyard was left spotless. I love my new steps, they are solid and look to last for a long time.

Subdivision Project

I contacted Green Side Up on behalf of my subdivision based on their high Homestars Rating.

From the onset both Jay and Grant were easy to deal with and despite some difficult and frustrating obstacles all sides were determined to see the project through which was greatly appreciated.

Despite of these obstacles, in the end our neighbourhood finally got the fencing we were waiting for (some including myself upwards of three years from moving in) and the majority of us agree that Green Side Up produced a great and long-lasting product.

I would not hesitate to recommend Green Side Up for your fencing needs... thanks again Jay and Grant!
