Jay and his Red Seal Carpenter, Chase, and his team, did an amazing job of replacing our old, Falling Down Fence with a Beautiful, New Fence. This was done on time and on budget. The guys did a great job cleaning up as they went along. They were on the job first thing in the mornings and worked non stop till late each evening till the job was completed.

Look around your neighbourhood - most fences have 4" posts. This company puts in 6" posts / 4 feet deep. It's not going anywhere! Gates are reinforced with corner hardware = solid. I would definitely recommend Green Side Up Contracting !

I had my fence installed back in 2018 when a wind storm brought down both sides of an old fence. At the time I dealt with Grant who was courteous and reasonable to my questions. He helped us understand the options and pricing. We decided on a fence layout, 6x6 posts, and two gate replacements. The team that came to do the install was fast, explained some of the issues with our old fence, and did an overall great job.

Fast forward two years, I was having problems with my one gate where it was getting stuck, especially during colder/rainy weather (wood expanding). I assumed that the gate was not aligned properly or perhaps too much weight. I emailed Grant and then called Jay where he said his team would be coming by to take a look. Turns out it was the same team that did the original install (which was kind of nice to see as usually contractors change personnel often), and also found out that the gates were reinstalled by a different contractor that did work at my house. He pointed out the screws were stripped and the latches were reattached incorrectly on both gates. Now at this point it was fair for Jay and his team to not want to help as it was not their mistake, but Jay was very nice and asked his team to try to do what they could under warranty. They managed to get the screws out and reattach both gates. Now both gates have been functioning great and the fence is still in great condition.

I would recommend Jay/Grant and their crew for anyone looking to install a fence. They are excellent to deal with and will hold up their end in terms of warranty/do what they can for their customers!

While it starts with Jay, all of the staff are friendly and the kind you like to have working around your place. This is the kind of company the sweeps the paths when they're done, makes sure any bricks that got loosened in construction are put back, and walk around your plants as best as possible while building you a great fence. 3 other companies gave me a "more or less" commitment to a 4 foot depth of posts - Jay said absolutely and that's what they did. The final product looks great and they were a pleasure to deal with.

This project has been in the making for years. It wasn't until we met with Jay that we started to see what the final product could actually be. Jay was open and honest with us about what would work and what wouldn't. When the project began, the crew was respectful of our property and it didn't feel like a typical construction site.
