Tarcon was a huge help in the design of our dream home. We met Giancarlo with a few rough sketches of our vision, and he was able to transform our cookie cutter bungalow into a modern masterpiece. Giancarlo drafted our existing interior survey, and worked through room by room with us; as we squared up our existing footprint, and topped up with a full 2nd floor addition. He helped us push the limits and see it through the committee of adjustments; where we successfully achieved the biggest gross floor area variance in our neighbourhood. Having just purchased a home, we were looking for someone to draft plans for an interior re-design of our home. We interviewed three different designers and out of them we decided Giancarlo was the person that we wanted to work with. He made a great first impression. He was punctual for our first meeting and had pre-drafted a quotation based on our initial conversation over the phone. He was very professional and offered some great insights while walking through the home with us. We also felt very comfortable sharing our thoughts and ideas with him and he was very receptive to them. We did not hesitate in hiring him to help us re-design the space.

It was not too long after our first meeting that Giancarlo was able to produce a set of plans for the home. He was able to incorporate all of our wants and needs into the plans. We had requested changes to the design throughout and he was always willing to accommodate those requests without hesitation. He was great at communicating his ideas and thoughts. The process of working with him was collaborative and enjoyable throughout. We went through a couple of drafts before we concluded our plans.

Our home is approximately 1,700 sq ft which includes the basement. It was critical that we create a functional and yet compact layout, utilizing every inch of space in the home. Giancarlo had some terrific ideas to maximize the space and ensure that it gave us all of the rooms that we needed.

Giancarlo has substantial experience dealing with and knowledge of building codes and understanding the requirements when designing a home. This quality is valuable as it helps minimize decisions that may not be approved by the city. Giancarlo arranged all of our city permits and ensured that we were ready to begin construction by the time we closed on the property.

Giancarlo is not only an excellent designer, but he is also a great communicator. His primary focus is to ensure that his clients get the design that they want. I would highly recommend Giancarlo for anyone who is in need of someone to help them create the home they desire.

We hired Giancarlo to do a design for our front entrance hall. He came up with some great suggestions. Giancarlo was always available for any questions and concerns we had. We were impressed with his knowledge regarding the building permit procedures. He enabled us to avoid a $600.00 charge from the city. We would highly recommend Giancarlo.

We hired Giancarlo to do complete layout redesign for our home renovation more than a year ago. We had a deadline over Christmas holidays. He provided good professional service. HIs attention to detail was good . He was able to draft the drawings in a timely manner. We had some disagreements over the payments, but the issue was resolved satisfactorily. Make sure to get a complete quote for everything, including changes and extras add ons.

Giancarlo assisted my husband and i in the early stages of our buliding over haul. He was very knowledgeable, confident, punctual, and flexible when it came to our needs! He was always available and easy to reach and talk to at anytime of the day, which helped with our busy schedule. I would recomend him in a heart beat....his attention to detail and professionalism were impeccable! Should we undertake another such project he will be one of the first people we contact!

We contacted Tarcon Construction a week before the Christmas holiday to come to one our our construction site and go over the details of the project at hand. When we called, we left a message to contact us back as this was a very time sensitive project. Our client had some work done earlier from a different supplier whom was taking too long to finish the job at hand and without the proper Permits. John returned our call within the hour of leaving him a message and scheduled the initial meeting the next day. Once on site, he took a few hours to measure the entire property so that the City of Toronto would have updated plans on the property and to help Fast Track our Permit so we could begin the work. Within the same week he had our site plans drawn up and confirmed with us in person the design so he could hand in the permit application. John took care of everything from A to Z including paying for the Permit and the Fast Track. We felt very comfortable giving him a deposit of $1000.00 for him to proceed with his work. After he submitted the drawings and plans for our project, he called us to ensure everything was going as planned and that we should receive a email from the City of Toronto within a few short days. In less than a week, right before the Christmas rush and holidays fast approaching, we received our permit. We met up with John and he went over the final plans with us, explained every stage of the design and when we would need to call the city for inspections. He even came by the job site while we were underway removing the old improper installation & excavation and over looked some of the work we were doing and gave us some valuable advise on the build.

We have already started booking more builds in our off season and look forward to working with John and Tarcon Construction in the future. If you need a very reliable company to deal with and one that gets the job done efficiently, I would recommend John anytime and have given out his name a few times already to other clients for their project needs.

I hired Giancarlo to design, oversee and obtain the necessary permits to complete a renovation on an investment property. I had a short deadline and a strict budget. Giancarlo provided efficient and very professional service. HIs attention to detail was fantastic and resonated clearly in the final product. He was able to draft the drawings, obtain the permits and commence the renovations, all within a weeks time. Throughout the process he redesigned the interior layout of an old out dated existing floor plan and modernized it to create more usable space and cosmetic appeal. As expected when renovating an older home, unexpected issues were revealed. Giancarlo and his hard working, efficient team were able to rectify the problems and still keep within the budget. His dedication and true passion are evident in his work. This started out as a "flip home" but ended up being my permanent residence as it was too nice to sell! I can not thank you enough for this wonderful experience. Not only was it educational, you made what could have been a very stressful experience into a dream.

We contacted Giancarlo through Homestars. We were in need of architectural drawings to obtain a permit to open up the main level of our home. We contacted him and he met with us the following day. He was professional; approachable and very knowledgeable. After taking into consideration our wants and needs he had the permit within weeks. We were so impressed with his professionalism that we decided, who better than to oversee the project than Tarcon Construction. He is truly talented at drafting and designing that they were exactly what we desired. He is the full package; he is an authentic design/build company.

Renovations:
We hired Tarcon Construction to do a complete remodel of the main floor and top floor or our home and we’re so glad that we did. They did an excellent job and we are so impressed by their craftsmanship and professionalism. Benny is a meticulous tradesman and his workmanship is fantastic. From mid-June to mid-August 2012 Giancarlo and his crew essentially gutted our house and redid it from top to bottom. They re-wired the electrical and replaced the plumbing throughout the entire house. They re-laid the subflooring and fixed joists to ensure that the house was stable. They were efficient, friendly and most of all clean and respectful of our home and dwelling seeing as though we lived there throughout these renovations. We can never thank both Giancarlo and Benny enough.
