AFG Heating and Cooling

Rafi is amazing..he knows his stuff and doesn't overcharge like some other HVAC guys who I have used in the past. I had a faulty condensation pump that was leaking in my basement. Rafi came over the same day I reported the issue and diagnosed the issue. He ordered a more efficient unit and installed it. The guy is honest, punctual and very thorough. I will be using him for all my HVAC needs and will be recommending him to all I know.

I called my normal furnace guy and the reception didn't even have decency to return my call. I called AFG and Rafi was prompt, respectable, knowledgable. I would definitely use AFG again and would highly recommend him to others.

I did some research trying to find some service maintenance for our boiler, which was replaced approx. 3 yrs.old ago. Found AFG Heating and Cooling Services in HomeStars and wasn't disappointed. Rafi came as scheduled and serviced our boiler within approx. 45 min. giving me a lot of detail on how everything was checked. He explained about bleeding the radiators before turning the furnace on and seemed very thorough in his job. Was very glad to have found Rafi and his company. Would definitely refer and use again in future!

Could not recommend AFG more! we called AFG when our regular HVAC company told us neither or our two ac units (1 ductless and 1 forced air) were working. they charged us hundreds of dollars for the service call (but didn't fix anything) but were telling us they needed to bring someoene else our to look at them (at a cost of course and then they would tell us about the repair/requirements/cost). It was looking like we were about to be charged close to $1000 just to diagnose the issue. Called afg and they came and assessed the issues with both units and repaired them both same day and for a fraction of what the other company was going to charge us just to diagnose. Also they pointed out a couple of other dificiencies with our boiler venting which they corrected for us. I now am a loyal afg customer and would refer them any day of the week!

Called in for a service of my humidifier, had very little knowledge of how the furnace works, coming from a apartment with centrally managed and maintained heating and AC system. Rafi came in and was very prompt, punctual, and patient - he answered all my questions and concerns, and filled in all the knowledge gaps I had. Though I called in for furnacing service, he gladly took a quick look at my humidifier without any additional charge to identify any issues with it. Gladly recommend him, specially to any first timers who have questions and our curious to know about these mysterious boxes in their houses (furnaces, central humidifiers, etc).

I'm simple words, Ralfi was honest, helpful and hardworking.I have a old boiler in a expensive neighborhood along with being new to the country. Ralfi clearly explained to me my options which were all competitively priced since I had did my research. He quite simple delivered without issues. I will be using him again he has become my heating and cooling guy.

I was very satisfied with the service from this company. Rafi was the technician and he did a great job walking me through the steps involved and why it was required. It is good information that every homeowner should know. I felt that the maintenance itself was performed thoroughly and the advise was genuine.

Rafi did a great job fixing my AC unit. He was extremely quick and honest too. He thought originally that I needed a part for the motor, and I was prepared to pay for that but after taking the unit apart to install one of the pieces, he saw that it didn't need the extra part so he didn't charge me for it. Overall, very fast, friendly and honest.

Our 16 year old Air-conditioner stopped working on us during a hot week last month. We found AFG through homestars and Fasi the technician paid a visit the same day within hours. He diagnosed the problem to be leaking refrigerant quite substantially. He advised us that based on the cost of leak test and the age of the unit, it was not wise to do the repair so we ended up purchasing a new one. We`re extremely happy with the service and honesty of AFG and we will definitely use them for all our HVAC needs in the future.
