This company is very proficient in the way they execute the job. The staff are polite and listen to any concerns.

We had our attic insulation upgraded to modern standards with Kovar. They provided a competitive and detailed quote, then came at the arranged time to complete the upgrade. After the attic insulation was installed, they cleaned up beautifully behind themselves. Every stage was very professional, I did not feel pressured and it was possible to schedule everything and pay online. The initial estimate also matched the final invoice which is always nice to see - no last minute hidden charges. Our job, #2023-1708, was a success!

The 40+ year old windows at Brooke Valley School were in bad shape & needed replacement before any further damage to structure due to rot/moisture.

Kovar Contracting handled procurement of new windows, removal of old and installation of new. They made several site visits beforehand to be certain of the job/windows to be ordered.

They executed the demo & installation over just a few days, helping us to coordinate the work with our siding replacement that followed the window install.

The windows look great and are great! We could not be happier!

We wanted to have our basement finished to be a family room and also have a full bathroom installed. Ben and Adam did an amazing job. They brought out designs to life and finished everything to perfection. The space we were finishing had some structural quirks and they found innovative solutions to them all ensuring that the finished space looked beautiful. We mostly dealt with Ben who went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the job, but the whole team was super friendly, courteous and a joy to work with. We are so happy with the finished space and hope to work with Ben and the Kovars team again!

Kovar was our roof contractor 8 years ago. The day before we were leaving on vacation, we discovered moisture in the barrier in our crawl space in one of the upstairs bedrooms.

Kovar dispatched an employee that day to
Come and investigate the issue. They inspected the roof in the area where the problem was occurring to see if they was any damage or vents that were leaking, then removed the plastic barrier and insulation in the crawl space to determine why we were getting moisture. Although there was no structural issues, the only recommendation was to remove items stored in this area and monitor during next rain storm.
We have had no leakage and the area is dry after several bad rain storms.
Suggested possible moisture issue might have been due to insulation being tight against the boards and this may have caused a build up of moisture. Also suggested using spray foam in this area instead of insulation.
Although the true reason for moisture build up in the plastic barrier/ insulation was undetermined, the fact that they came immediately to investigate and determine that we didnt have a leak, gave us peace of mind for our trip. We also didnt want our house sitter to worry about a leaky roof.

Efficient and professional roof job after I had problems with another contractor. Would recommend their services.
