I hired THIP for a complete kitchen renovation. Demolition and initial prep work was done quickly. The tradesmen were professional and completed their work on time.
Unfortunately the upper cupboards were not measured properly and so they had to be replaced. Asina Cabinets to their credit did eventually replace the upper cabinets and installed the rest of the cabinets well.
My real complaint was with the counter installation (Asina). As this was a condo and there are restrictions on height we needed to make a cut in the granite. The installers had planned a very obvious and ugly cut so I had to let Douglas the project manager intervene to ensure it was done correctly. After his intervention and some back and forth we finally agreed on the cuts. The initial install was done very poorly however so we had to call them back twice to fix the flaws and even out the finish. This caused quite a bit of stress as I had selected an expensive piece of granite. In the end, it all came together. Thanks to Douglas for his invaluable skills and help. He helped this project get completed properly and to my complete satisfaction. I would recommend The Home Improvement Group. Ask about the subcontractors they will be using and vet them as well.

I had recently moved into an older building and decided that I wanted to renovate my kitchen and both bathrooms. After reviewing several different companies on homestars I finally decided to go with The Home Improvement Group specifically because they specialized in renovating condominiums. The project manager assigned to me was wonderful as he walked me through the entire process and dealt with all of the extra issues that are involved in renovating Condominiums. Things moved along quite smoothly at the beginning. Unfortunately, part way through the renovation my project manager suddenly quit his job with THIG. For the remainder of the project, things felt chaotic and confusing as someone new had to step in and try to figure out what still needed to be done. Several mistakes were made that then needed to be corrected. But they were corrected without any additional cost. In the end, I was thrilled with the results, even though the project took more both time and money than had originally been estimated. My only complaint by the end was that, despite paying THIG for a deep clean of my apartment (which you absolutely need!), the place was left so dusty and dirty that I had to spend several hundred dollars more to hire my own cleaners to get the apartment truly clean.

We needed to prepare our condo for renting, and on a tight timeline. Not only did THIG do a great job, they finished in time for our tenant to move in. The process was smooth and Les was amazing at coordinating the work.

THIG arranged Hardwood floor and refinish, painting and some moulding work, as well as new carpet.

The process from beginning to end had a "concierge" feel to it. David grasped exactly what I wanted and brought in the team to share the vision before the did any work. Tony was my project manager who managed the different trades and coordinated the work. But he was much more than a task guy. He cared about what mattered to me, kept me in the loop at every step. I called Mr. Rescue in early January with a list of repairs for my condo. Charlie was quick to respond and gave me a reasonable estimate. The work was done over three days and everything was very high quality. I couldn't be happier with Mr. Rescue and will not hesitate to use Charlie again.

I spoke with Charlie a couple of times before making a commitment to have my job done, and he was a real pleasure to deal with -- professional, on time, available and honest. I had Charlie come in and fix some water damaged hardwood flooring in my Condo. Charlie and his team did an excellent job. Charlie was very professional and knowledgeable. He gave me all my options upfront, and reasonably quoted the job. At the end of the job I paid under the quoted price, and his team finished earlier then exepected. Also, they cleaned up nicely. I will definitely recommend him to friends and family.
