Quick Fix Appliances

My husband called quickfix appliances and a few other appliance repair businesses and none were as helpful and affordable as this one. We told them our fridge wasn't cooling properly and they told us some solutions and roughly how much it would cost. We were able to get the appointment set right away for one of their technicians to come on over. Within 45 min they were already here to diagnose our fridge and had the right spare parts to fix it on the spot. I was worried my food would be spoiled by the time someone were to fix our fridge. But we were super lucky with quickfix appliances! Best service we ever had.

I had a few appliance repair businesses come to my home in the past 10 years and not one of them were quite like Quick Fix Appliances. They handled my fridge with such care and the technician was very helpful and kind. He told me exactly what was wrong with the fridge. How it probably happened, he tells me how is going to fix it and at the end he tells me what to look out for so that this problem could be prevented. I could not of asked for a better service!

I booked the appointment and was told that the estimate is $80. The Service Technician came on time and was
nice and polite. The technician spent a long time to find the problem, finally he said
he needed to change the main control board and the fan, it would take
7-14 days to get the parts and coast $450. I did not agree to do it
right away, so he said I had to pay $138 + tax ($156), not $80
mentioned before. The very next day I found another company, their
technician changed just the fan and the fridge is working. I paid $150
for the part and labor all together. The QuickFix Appliances have
inexperienced workers and mislead clients about the estimate, parts and labor coast.

Horrible company. The defroster thermostat needed to be replaced. It took him 5 mins to fix and 30 mins to defrost the freezer. While he was taking off the panal the tech shorted the ice maker connector. He told me that the repair would be $360.00 plus tax. I agreed needing my fridge to work again. He replaced the part, it started to work again. The tech wrote a receipt without breaking down the items, I asked him to do this the labour was $160 the part $200. This seemed excessive so I investigated what the part was worth with Sears as this was a Kenmore fridge. The part is worth $55!!. I called another Missisauga parts company and they charge the same. I called the company back to express how they could justify a 4x markup on parts. All the manager could tell me was "that's what we charge for parts" I asked to speak to the owner of the company he told me no "he's good enough" I don't mind as a consumer to pay a premium on parts when repairs are made. I don't expect, however a mark up of 4 times the parts worth. This is a blatant abuse of a customer.
