Professional Organization of Apartment

I first encountered Isolde O Neill, founder and President of Getting it Together Organizing, when she gave a great organizational workshop at my workplace.

So, when I decided that I wanted someone to help me organize my apartment, I chose Isolde for the job.

Isolde was fantastic - she completely revolutionized my space for the better.

Her approach was two-fold:

- First Isolde came by to see the place and took the time to talk to me about things like: what I wanted, what was important to me, how I used the space, what my current organization style was, etc. Isolde then came up with some ideas, and we discussed how much it would cost. We then worked out what could be done to prepare the space for the organizing - for example, Isolde designed a highly efficient hanging and shelf system for my small closet. At this point, Isolde put me in touch with a talented contractor who fixed up the necessary areas of my place (like the closet) - the contractor did quality work at a reasonable price. Isolde and I then worked out a timetable, that worked comfortably within my schedule, for her to come by, to start on the next phase.

- Next, Isolde came by and got to work with me in going through all of my clutter, papers, neglected/forgotten items, etc., in each area of my apartment. She did all of this with no judgement or heavy-handedness - she was upbeat and a pleasure to work with, the entire time. Once the unwanted items were collected, Isolde arranged to take the relevant items to a charity for donation, others to a company for confidential shredding (she took care of all of the details, which made it very easy for me).

For other items, Isolde help me move them to my storage locker (which she helped me de-clutter, as well!), and she helped me figure out which items I'd give to friends or family, and put me in touch with a site on which I could sell some other items. Throughout the process, Isolde shared helpful tips, tricks and resources with me.

In summary, Isolde helped me de-clutter, organize, beautify and personalize my apartment, and helped me make the space much more efficient, so that I could get the most use and enjoyment out of it as possible. During the process, Isolde kept us on-track, on-schedule and on-budget. In addition, Isolde managed to make the process enjoyable - she is an interesting, funny, decent and professional person, with great ideas and a great eye for organization, efficiency and design.

I highly recommend Isolde O Neill and Getting It Together Organizing.

Isolde O Neill

"I must tell you I got up this morning to tackle the rest [of our work] and I am so pleased. It was so fast. I moved a chair out and now it is the designated office and studio area. It looks roomy and with all the work done yesterday all the rest seems to have fallen into place."

office organization

My husband hired Isolde to help me get over the backlog of administration, planning materials, memorabilia and junk that had accumulated after a dozen busy years of parenting. It was a gift, a better gift I have never ever had. Isolde guided, cajoled, asked the right questions, and frankly held my hand as I kept or parted with 12 years of "stuff". She is a gifted listener, a gentle task master, and wonderful company - all whilst being a wizard of organization.

Project/Service

Isolde O’Neill is a rare person… multi-talented, skilled at organizing and a delight to work with, no matter the job. She made organizing my truly horrid basement a joy… and never let me feel guilty for a moment! If you need someone to help you shoulder the task of a junk room or out of control files, ask Isolde for help.

Home office organizing

I received a gift certificate for Getting It Together Organizing for my birthday. It was the best gift I could've ever received. Isolde was professional, efficient and listened to my needs and habits. She worked so well to establish a working system that I could maintain. My office was no longer a distraction of chaos. It is now an inspiring area to work in and stay focused with a clear filing system and work flow system. She created places for everything throughout our home so the rest of my family can put things away and access things easily. 1 year later I still feel the benefits of her work.

Organizing

I highly recommend working with Getting It Together Organizing. She had a lovely way of making the experience of clearing out a storage locker fun and rewarding. Her professional approach, positive spirit and sense of humour moved me forward to get this project done. All in all - hurray!

Organizer

"Isolde O'Neill was/is a God-send to me. I was drowning in clutter and lack of a system and Isolde came to my apartment and quietly, thoughtfully, respectfully offered suggestions and encouragement. At every turn her questions and suggestions lead me down a different path that now has me questioning if I really need 'stuff'. There is order where there was chaos. There is a system for putting things in their place and a reason to keep the system. She was never judgemental and always positive. Her solutions are simple and easy to follow. The result is terrific. I would and have recommended her. I also thought her workshop for the office was wonderful and helpful too. I followed all her ideas and my office is now a calm, ordered place." L.S.

Basement Clean Up and Re-organiation

Have you tried to get that basement which has turned into a junk storage area sorted and cleaned out but find that you have completely failed to make a dent? Does the task seem too daunting and overwhelming? If so, Isolde and her team are definitely the people you want to have help you out. They are friendly, efficient, and get it done with as much or as little help as you are prepared to give. And suddenly your life feels less chaotic because your house is more ordered. I started with the basement and will be moving on with Isolde to other rooms that need attending. Soon my house will be neat and ordered and life won't feel so complicated :) Ruth, High Park, Toronto
