Carefree Moving

The short version of it is that we are very disappointed to say the least and will not recommend anyone to use this service.

The arrived at 9:20 instead of 9:00 am and on their invoice they wrote 9:15
They too six 15 minute breaks
They charged us for 3 movers, but the guy that was the boss, was either managing the other 2, was taking more cigarette breaks, on cell phone talking or texting - so we felt that we overpaid for 2 people
They had told us $35 per appliance but they charged us $45 for each appliance that were on the main floor but over the phone when we were hiring them, he had said that if they not upstairs or in the basement, there would be no charge. When we told them this fact, they said but there were 3 steps in front of the house. Of course in Canada with harsh weather all houses have to be a bit above the street level so snow and water don't come inside. So again, we felt they took advantage of us. 2 of the appliance (washing machine and the dish washer were so light, not even 50 Lbs but they still charged us for them as if they were over weight.
they charged us an extra $45 for each long cabinet/dresser because they could not use their dolly they explained. But when I was interviewing on the phone to hire this company, I asked they if there were any extra costs, fees or charges, they didn't tell me about this extra cost.
they mostly shrink wrapped the furniture that we told them were important and expensive. They hardly used their blankets to cover our furniture.
Many parts of our furniture were damaged because they were not careful handling them and the next morning we noticed that the broken wood splinters and chips were still hanging on the freshly damaged furniture.
Over all, they worked carelessly, were slow, and we were charged for may hidden fees that they did not tell us about up front. At they end we paid a high price for a very low quality service.
