Construction of retaining wall and stone steps

The retaining wall was fine but the lawn they laid seems to have had insufficient topsoil under it. Most of all, the stone steps began to fall apart within a year. The mortar is crumbling and most of the stones are loose. It wil have to be entirely rebuilt. The principal of the company, John MacDonald, has been completely unresponsive. His partner, Chris Lee, made an effort to correct the work but it was only temporary and is now crumbling again. Their masonry work on our property was not very good.
