Gutting, insolating and drywall/plaster three bedrooms
Bigelow Construction did two large jobs for me. The first was a back bedroom. The second was the two remaining bedrooms and the hallway. (I had some plans drawn up by a draftsman friend to have a clear idea of what I wanted.) For this work, Sam gutted and repaired the outer walls of the house (there were holes) then re-insulated. To finish off, we did the first project in drywall but choose plastering for the second project as it's a cleaner application, less dust. We also added new door and window frames, crown molding, and baseboards. Finally, the rooms were painted.
I was very happy with Sam's work, I would have him come back. For costing, I liked how he broke the job down into its various cost phases. He was also punctual in arriving, kept me posted on his task schedule, and additionally his time and cost estimates were spot on. (If I changed the work, we discussed the additional costs which were always reasonable.)
He's very easy to work with and I also felt he hired skilled, reliable people. Not only that, but they kept the site fairly clean and were conscious of that aspect of a job. But best of all, they finished on time.
My only regret might be by writing this review he will be too busy to do more work for me.
