Good product, installation problems but post sales remedy

Toronto

The good: Quality doors and windows. Delivered on schedule as per original sales. One window had marks on the inside of the glass. Replaced without a problem.

The bad: Salesman who is barely reachable once you sign the deal.

Old windows removed without use of drop sheets outside (as requested) and poorly layed drop sheets inside. Still picking out glass slivers from my carpet 2 month on. Wood and glass splinters and aluminum trimming all over the property.

1 x good installer, 1 x 20 year old friend of the owner whose work had to be gone over in detail to correct errors.

1 door installed well. The other was measured wrong and was to be rebuilt. Came back a week later with different installation crew and proceeded to install with a jack hammer on my masonry to fit the old door they never bothered to rebuild. No dropsheets, entire house covered in concrete dust. No warning they were going to that as other door was installed with only the use of a prybar. Door installed on an angle to make it fit.

Installer who decided to try and go pee behind a neighbours fence till I caught him.

Complained to company. Offered $20 in airmiles points as first offer. Got bumped up to $150. On a $3000 door and a $25000 total job.

Addendum:

Contacted by owner directly who made satisfactory reparations. I can now recommend this company.
