Ken and his team were great to work with. We were looking to support local businesses and found Ken Ritchie Carpentry. We wanted cabinets installed with a stone top for office storage cabinets in the basement. He was professional, on time, and communicative. The quality of work is excellent. Ken was one of the companies that quoted our island. We decided to go with Ken as he explained everything and was extremely knowledgeable and kind. The island came out beautifully. It looks like a piece of furniture. He also accommodated the space for a beverage fridge and the dovetail drawers and Blum motion soft closing doors are the extras! Ken has orchestrated all of the renovations in our home. His custom cabinet work is immaculate. Everything looks beautiful and my 8 year old kitchen looks as good as the day it was put in. His attention to detail and finishing touches mean that I don’t have to worry if things will be done right. They always are! He has very good design sense and has added thoughts and suggestions which I never would have thought of. He also hires very good subcontractors ie painters, drywall, tilers etc who seem to have the same high standards that he has. Everyone has been neat and tidy and come when they’re supposed to come. I like that ! He responds to text, emails and phone calls in a timely fashion. If one wants excellent work done in their home, then Ken is the guy you want. He is not the cheapest but he is the best !

Ken and team designed and installed our new kitchen and we are thrilled with the results! From Ken's redesign of our space to his craftsmanship and attention to detail, we couldn't be happier. Ken knows kitchens - what works and what doesn't, and his work is beautiful. We are SO glad that we spent a little extra and went with Ritchie's instead of using IKEA. It was completely worth it! Our old, ugly, tiny, townhouse kitchen has been transformed into a spacious, functional kitchen that looks like something out of a magazine. Highly, highly recommend!!

Our latest project was a custom wall unit for our family room and it is beautiful! This is one of many projects that Ken has done for us! We have had a custom kitchen project as well as custom laundry room cabinets created by Ken. Ken is a perfectionist who takes his craft seriously. His workmanship is superior and his attention to detail is critical to the success of our projects. The projects are completed on budget and on time. Ken's installs are efficient and clean. We have used Ritchie's Custom Carpentry on two occasions in the past year. Once to refinish our existing Kitchen cabinets and custom build some additional ones and a second time to build and install a wall entertainment unit. We were very pleased with the results. Ritchie's custom cabinetry was saw my kitchen renovation project through from start to finish. Ken helped me design my kitchen space efficiently and made my kitchen gorgeous! A couple of nicks and scratches and he came over to fix the countertop asap (twice). Ken stands by his work and his craftsmanship if well done and meticulous. They even laid my wood flooring (to reuse) to ensure i didn't have to buy new. My kitchen went from being old 1950's to a magazine worthy modern open concept kitchen in just 2 months. Ken consulted me every step of the process of renovating the kitchen and maintained his professionalism so much that i highly recommend this company to other friends or people wishing to renovate their kitchen!
