Worst Movers Ever! Do not hire this company!

Worst movers ever! If you value your belongings at all do not choose this company! If I could give no to negative stars I would.

Booking with them they are all sweet and accommodating. When they stated it would take 12-15 business days for delivery from Ontario to Alberta I didn't want to book with them as that was too long for me. They promised it would come within 10-12 business days instead. Turns out I didn't get my stuff until 17 business days 21 regular days later. That's a long time sleeping on the floor!!

When we finally received our delivery - SO much stuff was broken and missing as well. I have submitted a claim and followed the directions on how to do that and someone emailed me to say they received my claim and it would take 3-4 weeks to process. It has been 8 weeks and I haven't heard one word. I have emailed a couple of times for updates and no one has bothered to get back to me. I have a feeling no one ever will by reading all the other comments here.

I will never use this company again nor will I recommend this company to anyone. If I do not hear anything about my claim soon I am also going to post reviews on social media (hopefully it will go viral) and report them to BBB.

They profit off of customers' misinformation and they misinform you!

Short story: they profit off of customers' misinformation. They don't inform you of their regulations and conditions and they screw something up, they try to cash in on those regulations and conditions they never mentioned to you. My best advice here is: stay away from this company.

Whole story:

I moved from Vancouver to Toronto and somewhere along the trip, they broke my TV. I emailed them on the date they delivered my things (June 2nd) with pictures of my TV, asking how we should proceed with the issue. Two days later (June 4th), Tony replies me stating that he will be processing my claim ASAP and asks me to note that processing claims may take up to 2 to 4 weeks (ASAP for sure).

I waited two weeks before trying to get in touch with Real Canada Wide Moving again, and on Sunday, June 19th I emailed them asking for a follow up to my claim. No answer on Monday, June 20th.

I proceeded to email them once again on Tuesday, June 21st. No answer on Wednesday, June 22nd. I emailed them once again on Wednesday, June 22nd, and, once again, no one replied me by Thursday June 23rd.

On Thursday, June 23rd I called them. Nicole answered the phone and I requested to speak with Tony. She then told me that the “claims department” doesn't take phone calls (Tony signs his emails as being part of “Customer Services Department. What kind of customer service doesn't take phone calls?!).

She told me that if it was about a claim I should send them an email, to which I told her “I've sent three emails over the last few days and no one replied me”, she told me she would talk to the “claims department” and that if no one gave me an answer by Friday, June 24th I should call them again.

I forgot to call them on Friday, June 23rd and on Monday, June 27th, Tony replied me saying that they are not liable to pay me anything because:

1 – The TV was packed by me

- This is not true. Their crew packed my TV. On their checklist, everything I had packed myself and was inside boxes, they would write solely “Box”. For the TV, they wrote on their checklist “TV”.

2 – Quote: “In the contract unfortunately you didn't buy the extra insurance when this is the case; the shipment then travels under standard liability(...) with a $350,00 deductible, to be paid by the customer”.

- This is also not true. Said “contract” was never shown to me prior to this email, where Tony was answering my claim. The same goes for this “extra insurance”. Nobody inside Real Canada Wide moving never mentioned that purchasing extra insurance was an option, so I never had the opportunity to further protect my things. And, surprisingly, the same goes for the $350,00 deductible of said “insurance”, which was never mentioned me before Monday June 27th.

Tony then proceeds to offer me $100,00 (even though, according to him, they owe me nothing), for my “satisfaction”, which I think is a poorly planned bad taste joke.

The only sheet of paper with anything that resembles a contract only got to me on the day they delivered my things, (June 2nd), which was the sheet they needed signed as confirmation of delivery. My girlfriend signed that sheet and she was instructed by the moving crew, on the delivery day, to sign the pick up date (May 22nd) only after they delivered my items.

And that's why I would never do business with Real Canada Wide Moving again nor I would recommend it to anyone. Stay away from them!

I will update this review with a link to the Better Business Bureau complaint I will open. In there, anyone will be able to see all the documents along with the story.

I see they have replied some people on reviews here before. I would love to hear from them.

Easy to deal this company

Hi,
I moved with this company from Calgary,AB to Toronto, ON. Unfortunately, I lost my job, and I have nothing to do in Alberta anymore. I decided to go back Toronto. I have 3 bedrooms, and garage full of my shipments. They did free home estimation for me.
Delivery time, I explained to them, I need more storage because I lost my job. They said no problem, they gave me 6 weeks free storage. It's helped me a lot. I paid to them what they told me on my estimation date.
Great people.
Thanks
Tom W.

Very Helpful Company

Hi, My name is Mike. I used Real Canada Wide moving Services Inc for my move from Toronto,ON to Vancouver,BC. They did my pick up my shipment on time in Toronto, and they did delivery on time in Vancouver,BC. It took 14 days to delivery to my new adresses in Vancouver,BC. I got very good deal from them, they have a very realistic quote and they kept all their promises. I would like to thanks who did my pick up in Toronto (Driver Zack and his team) They did really excellent job. Even my condo too difficult to get in with 7 ton truck, they went back to their warehouse and changed truck and bring in 3 ton truck and didn't charge me any extra. It was amazing for me and for my family.
I recommend this company too everyone who wants to move cross canada.
Thank you.

WARNING!!!!! Lost h.

I am writing this review in hopes that I will help prevent at least one family from going trough what we went trough using this company. I have never experienced such a horrible unorganized and rude company as this one. My experience with this company has been terrible from beginning to end. Let's start off with the beginning.

First off we schedule a time with the to pick up our stuff from Red Deer Alberta on Friday to move to Cornwall Ontario. They scheduled our pick up for 8pm on a Friday. That Friday we get a call saying pick up has been mov d to Saturday at 8am. We say ok, but it has to be done Saturday because we fly out of the province on Sunday. They say no problem. 8am Saturday comes no pick up, we call and they say oh we meant 8pm. Then 9pm shows up and we get another call, oh our truck is full we have to do it Sunday morning. At this point we are upset but we say ok but early our plane leaves at 2pm. They say yes no problem. They show up at 8am but tell us they brought the wrong truck, so they leave and only show back up at 11am making me almost miss my flight! I the. Write a bad review and we get a phone call bribing us to take it down for a $200 discount.

Anyway we stayed with this company because they were cheap and would let us keep our stuff in storage per monthly charge until we find a home in Ontario. While looking for a home we called them every month to ask if they wanted a down payment or a monthly payment and they say oh no, it's ok only when you get delivery we will pay in full. Six months later we call for the delivery and it all goes down hill again. They set a date we get a called the day before saying oh we can deliver that date. At this time we are very annoyed and living in a house with no stuff. So we called and demand a delivery date, not two weeks later like they a re saying.

The manger tells us that we shouldn't get upset because they have all our stuff and even tho we payed in full a week earlier her can charge us for whatever charge he can come up with in his head. This is a illegal by the way. So we argue explaining this by the contract we had signed. Finally he agrees to deliver the day after for no extra charge. We thank him and our stuff is delivered and we feel like we can breath again, but that wasn't the case.

7 tots and 2 dinning room chairs were not delivered! In the tots we had movies, gaming systems, small kitchen appliances, kitchen plates, and our wardrobe!! Over $2,000 worth of stuff missing. We call them the day of delivery and follow their protocol for lost itesms. Number one line on the contract states they are responsible for lost iteams. For six months we get the we are looking talk. Then they block our calls and stop returning our emails. Then we find an employ who answers only because we used a different phone and says if we haven't found it we won't. They tell us to send in a list of what is missing exactly and a price. They then email us back saying they found the 2 dinning room chairs so they will continue to look for the tots. But they won't deliver the chairs!

One year later and we have not seen our chairs, our tots, or any money and they stop contacting us in general. I hope this story can help someone not go trough what we went thought. We moved provinces and payed movers to move lol our stuff for we wouldn't have to start over again, but we had to start over anyway.

Moving from alberta to bc, pretty awesome

Hi all! My name is Serena Adams and I would just like to tell you all my experience with this company. Real Canada wide moving is one of the best company you can move with for a ridiculously low price than most people. I have had moved many times and had many runs with different moving companies and I would have to honesty say Real Canada wide has been the best company to move with.

My move from prior from Toronto to alberta costed me way too much, enough for me to shy away from moving my belongings; but I thought hey what the heck it will cost me more to buy my things from scratch than to move it, after much consideration that image just got layed off. Long story short. Arrgh...

These people have helped me get myself back on my own two feet again. How??? You ask??? Well.. Let me tell you.... After I was layed off, pretty much devastated ladadida... Not enough to produce oil anyhow! I didn't know what to do cause honestly I never thought this would ever happen. So I seen this ad in the Internet and I called them up to get an estimation. Turned out that it isn't bad at all after all the searching.
Honestly I couldn't get the courage to sell my items that I have worked so hard for and the price I have purchased it all brand new!! I was getting offered so little ( sad face) for my expensive belonging. So I had Real Canada wide moving services store my items then deliver them to my new address in BC. It was all well worth it for what I payed at the end of a small sum of less than 2K. This company is real. Reputable, and very honest. Without their help I wouldn't have been able to move all my things out of Alberta on time. I would honestly recommend these guys and use them again, for awesome service without any hassle. Please people use them and feel free to email me for my experience hence with them.

Real canada wide moving services is affordable and perfect!!

Real canada wide moving services is a perfect company to hire for long distance move for a very reasonable price.
I would definetely use them again as well as recommend them to my friends.
From start to finish was a nice experience for me. Customer service care ( Gabriela) is a nice lady and very informative. I have booked the exact date I preferred for my moving without any problems.

The moving truck and driver is the same person who picked up and delivered my belongings to my new place in Greater Vancouver. In my opinions I would use these people again for my long distance move for a fraction of the price compared to a bigger moving company. Thanks guys, i will definetely call you guys again!

Moving from Edmonton to Ontario

This is the worst service i have ever had in my life, i retired and moved from Edmonton to Ontario. A tool box was left loose in the back of the moving truck and they drove from Edmonton to Ontario smashing everything. i had to go through insurance to get back what they damaged and still lost. There were things missing and no respect for anything. i was offered from them 500 bucks when they did 9800.00 in damage. Get insurance because your going to need it Best of luck using these people!!

Try someone else

''Bad inner communication in the office'‘: that`s what their area manager told me when trying to explain hidden fees to me the day before moving…

I use a scale at home and estimated 800lbs for all my stuff, my first scale ticket that they tried to charge me was 1880lbs.

After asking them to rescale, it was 1220lbs… honest mistake they told me, but still trying to charge me warehouse fees that were not in the original estimate.

Just go somewhere else…
