Our furnace was installed by 2 gentlemen 2 years ago, and we were given a written registered coverage. We recently had issues with the furnace and a reputable energy company came in and said it's leaking, defective, and dangerous. They immediately turned off the furnace and red-taped the mechanism stating it was inoperable.
Then, we had Akal Home Care come in to review their warranty. They dismissed the first company's observations and advice and even more, restarted the furnace despite the red-tape.
The problems with the leak remained and we had a 3rd HVAC company come in. This gentlemen observed a lot of rust inside the furnace, measured the carbon monoxide levels and said they were sky high. He said the furnace was basically a ticking time bomb and it should have never been restarted by Akal Home Care. He also said it was inoperable.
Akal Home Care will play with your lives. We have a young family (with a small child) living in our basement and they could not care any less what happens to us or them. We had the furnace run, under their advice and neglect for 10-12 days with abnormally high carbon monoxide levels that we were completely unaware of.
