I discovered bedbugs in my East York bungalow
Aug 29. PPS was highly recommended from a family member. It was $350.00 for the inspection, the cost going towards any future treatment. On Sept. 2nd, Muhammed arrived and put on a disposable haz-mat suit. He informed me that I had a very heavy infestation that would be an extremely long and difficult task for both of us, he also suggested lifestyle changes. He was unable to give me a hard quote for the treatment as it would depend on how many possessions I got rid of and how well I pre-cleaned. Fortunately, he didnt think it necessary to treat the basement apartment. I asked for an estimated price range. He said as low as $3,000.00 or as high as $5,000.00. Considering the bugs hide in the walls, I texted him the next day asking why he didnt think the basement apartment needed treatment. He offered to do the basement for an additional $1,800.00. With costs soaring to $4,800.00 - $6,800.00. I needed a second opinion. Several friends had recommended a different company. They would do the entire house for $1,700.00 including a warranty to guarantee they would not return. They instructed me NOT to replace ANY possessions until the bugs were gone and gave some very simple, sensible instructions. They arrived wearing regular white overalls because apparently disposable haz-mat suits are unnecessary theatrics. They saved me between $3,100.00 - $5,100.00 + the cost of any new furniture, a dumpster and my time. I had the treatment on Sept 14 and waited until now, Nov. 15 to write this review. The bugs are completely gone. It was very, very easy.
Moral of the story: Dont make a decision based on fear and get a second opinion. Good luck!

Marty,
After studying your criticism of our bed bug inspection service we are sorry to hear that you lost trust in our services based on a quote range and our customized approach to suggest client proactive changes. However, this review is, of course, not a reflection of our treatment since you refused to continue with our instruction which would lead to a final exact quote followed by treatment. We take note of your criticism and provide the following notes from our end:
Firstly, a hazmat suit is not necessarily what our one-time use, full body coveralls are called. We use equipment following industry best-practices and guidelines (members of the SPMAO, NPMA, and CPMA). We are pioneers in bed bug speciality since a decade ago, and have a picture of our plain coveralls folded, on our blog post. If another company chooses to not cover their clothing completely, then that is their choice; our breathable, fabric, disposable, coveralls allow us to make sure we don't take bed bugs to a different client's house.
Secondly, the basement was clear and (as you mention) we already said there is no reason to treat it. You insisted on wanting to know the cost of something that would consume time and money: treating an un-infested basement for no reason. Whereas we insisted to not do that; the single bed bug you caught in the washroom/laundry area was simply brought down from upstairs (most likely hitch-hiking on clothing).
Thirdly, with regards to our quote. Our company historically gets rid of bed bugs for good. From alleviating bed-bug-fear of people who just have carpet beetles to treating hoarding horror residencies in disarray, our company has been built upon sincere, true, honest, and trustworthy advice with an entomologist on-site for every single job. Our quote mirrored what we saw of the heavy infestation: from curtains to walls and even a musical instrument, all rampant with bed bugs. We offer a customizable approach in which decluttering and furniture removal is advisable. We advise on how to move in a direction which will help them prevent living in such heavy infestations in the future.
Yet this infestation was undetectable to you up until a heavy infestation level threshold because you were not reacting to the bed bugs bites. In fact, Pest Solution Services, in conviction with our infestation findings, does offer a free-of-charge bed bug re-inspection at the location in question because a small bed bug population can easily be there but you are simply unable to detect them until it surpasses a similar previous threshold.
