Metro Plumbing & Drains

We purchased a new dishwasher and were looking for a technician to install it. My husband called a few companies but they were either charging way too much or could not come the same or next day. Of all of them Metro Plumbing and Drains was the best option. They provided a good service, cleaned after themselves and didn’t charge much. What else you need? Will call them again!

A very trust worthy company!!! Called them 3 times (dishwasher installation, leak through the ceiling and toilet installation) and every time was entirely satisfied with the service, price and the attitude of the technicians. The last time the reason I called was that my basement toilet wasn’t flushing properly and it was also a leak around the toilet. The guy came right on time, after a short diagnostic he explained that money wise it had no sense to fix my old toilet because just for extra 50-70 dollars I could get a new one installed the same day. I went for that and was very happy that I was given a choice. Honestly, how many companies would do the same, especially when it comes to an expensive plumbing service. Not so many, right? Will call Metro Plumbing and Drains again without any hesitation!

I had them come to replace old sump pump and flexible hose with new sump pump, check valve and new 1.5" PVC pipe (about 2.5' of pipe). I was told before work began that he needed to "Repair 3" plastic pipe" and it would cost $244 plus tax. The price to remove and install sump pump was $612.97. The price to install the check valve was $117.83. I may have overpaid for the sump pump and the check valve, but that is what I agreed to pay so I cannot complain. It turns out that the "Repair 3" plastic pipe" really meant connecting 1.5" pipe to a 3" pipe. I could not believe he was charging $244 plus tax to do that. When I confronted him afterwards, he said things like "I have to use special glue", etc. This seemed more like an add on to increase the cost. Maybe I am wrong, but be careful when getting quotes from these guys and get them to explain exactly what they are going to do before agreeing to a quote.
