21 Windows & 3 door installations

We have just had 21 windows replaced by Home Depot on August 29 and 30th. Outstanding items on the window installation order are the capping above 2 windows in the front, proper sealing, and a replacement screen for the kitchen window, which was torn. The 2 windows where the capping was to be replaced have not been sealed properly and we had to make-shift something to keep the rain out. We were told that the capping and replacement screen would be taken care of on September 7th when they came to replace the front door and the 2 patio doors.

We were contacted by Home Depot, that our front door installation will be delayed once again. Originally, the front door and the 2 patio doors were to be delivered to Home Depot by September 4 and installed on September 7th. My husband and I removed the blinds and moved furniture to make sure the installers had adequate room for the installation. Home Depot telephoned us the evening before the installation date of September 7th to inform us that they needed to reschedule. The window above the front door was not ready. The new installation date was set for September 19th. I received a call on September 11th, informing me that the date will have to be rescheduled yet again because the front door was still not ready. I was told the doors would arrive at Home Depot on September 25th and they would like to reschedule the installation to September 26th.

The person who called me about the date change called at an inconvenient time, so I asked her to send me an email with the date change request and I would check it on the calendar when I got home. I never received an email so was forced to call the number showing on my phone. I received the standard message you receive when you call Home Depot. I never did get to speak to the person as she was on the phone with someone else. She didn't call me back. I called the project coordinators number and was informed that she was on vacation. I asked the lady who answered the phone why we couldn't at least have the 2 patio doors installed and the outstanding items finished off on September 19th and then have the front door installed on the 26th. Her response was that Home Depot wants to do all the doors at the same time. She said she would check for me if it could be done. I haven't heard back from her yet.

I received an email on September 21st informing me that the window above the front door was still not ready so the front door would not be installed on September 26th as expected. They would however, install the 2 patio doors, do the capping above our 2 windows and bring our kitchen screen. On September 26, the installers did come and install the 2 patio doors but knew nothing about the capping or the screen. I left messages and am still waiting to find out when I can expect the outstanding items to be completed.

We feel that given the lead time Home Depot had to have our order ready (order was placed May 10, 2018), this delay is not what we would expect from a reputable and professional enterprise such as Home Depot.
