The Gutter Patrol

Moe arrived on time to review the work and give me a quote. I said "Let's do it" and we agreed to start the first or second week of May. I received a call at the end of April that he could do the work on May 1st. "Come on down", I said. We agreed he'd arrive some time between 11 and noon and he'd give me a half hour notice so I can review the scope with him before he starts. So we said, and so it happened.

Moe arrived with three others and they worked for a good three hours. One of the workers (Mohammed), was the downspout specialist. As you can see by the photos, he did a great job; good and solid! As one of the photos shows, Mohammed used stand-offs on the downspout to allow the elbow to rotate and point to the plane of the neighboring fence. My gutters had pulled away from the fascia because they were nailed in. A couple of sections of fascia trim were dislodged too and one of my corners had a leak. Moe worked with the other two to install gutter hangers and sloping the troughs. He had to detach one of the troughs from its corner to slope it properly. He didn't account for that in the quote so he did it for free (thanks Moe). Two fascia trim pieces were also re-attached.

Moe included me in reviewing the work at various stages including how far I wanted the downspouts extended. He and his workers were courteous and took pride in their work and gave good advice. Moe instilled confidence throughout the whole process making the whole effort painless.

I'll definitely invite Moe back for more work as it arises.

A couple of final notes: the two flexible extensions, the rest for the front downspout extension and the leaf filters are from my inventory. Sorry if the orientation of the photos I added is wrong; the site won't give me an option to rotate them.
