The very well documented report he gives you after is not only helpful at the moment, but it will also be important to look back on every once in a while to keep up with the maintenance of your home. Michael is very friendly and knowledgeable. As I'm a first time home buyer, everything including the inspection was all very new to me. Before booking an inspection with Michael, I asked a lot of questions about what I wanted tested, and he answered them all with patience. We eventually determined that I was looking for a unit only inspection, for which I found the fee reasonable and competitive. Luckily, he was available within a week of me contacting him. Email communication with him was smooth.

On the day of the inspection, Michael was punctual, even arriving slightly early. The inspection was laid-back; he did his own thing as my parents and I did ours. Michael tested systems and components throughout my home (plumbing, heating, electrical, interior finishes, windows, etc.) as well as immediately outside my unit (patio, exterior wall, foundation, outlets, hose bib, etc.). I personally liked how he labelled some of my pipes and valves, which helps me identify them. After the inspection, there was a clear, informative walkthrough in which Michael explained deficiencies and suggested improvements. He also gave tips that are valuable to me as a homeowner. The inspection was done in the evening, and Michael promptly emailed me a report that night. The report was organized and detailed, and it started off with a summary of the most significant issues, which was helpful because I used it to easily compile a list of issues for my developer to address.

Overall, Michael's results exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend his home inspection service!
