I choose Raywal Cabinets in Ajax as I did my homework on them...I got 5 other quotes from other kitchen cabinet places and Raywal came up with the best quote for what I wanted. I also knew of someone who had their kitchen renovated with Raywal, so I thought I was making a good choice.
I do have to say that Kellee O'Brien, the design consultant that I dealt with was nice to work with, she was pleasant and assured me from the beginning the design would work in my kitchen, as I had some second thoughts of the design at first with the limited space I had. She did come through for me and she kept me up to date and informed through the process. So thank you Kellee!
The inital wait for the cabinets to be made was acceptable (4-6 weeks)...mine were closer to 6 weeks...
HOWEVER.. once I was given the installation date and that it would take 2 days to install...well thats when it went downhill from there with the service!!!! Of course..they had all my money so why rush it or be too concerned about the customers frustrations.
MANY FRUSTRATIONS!!!!
I can tell you those 2 days to install turned into 9 WEEKS!!!!!!!
9 WEEKS!!!!! To complete my kitchen!!!!! Thats not including the 6 weeks to make the cabinets...which I said was an acceptable time frame. Again, I know they are busy like everyone else...but that time frame to have to wait was beyond ridiculous.
This is why Raywal SHOULD NOT be taking the last FULL payment from customers until the work is COMPLETE!!!
I had damaged cabinets that had to be re-made...chipped surfaces...uneven doors..missing soft closes..wrong doors..it seemed one thing after another.
On a couple of occassions they sent their ``service technician`` with one piece to put in..so to make me happy and keep me quiet for awhile I am sure..because they were probably tired of hearing from me...but REALLY? and I will mention on 2 occassions he was VERY LATE in arriving..not punctual at all.
I was on the phone with "Corey" and a "Jason" and I expressed my frustrations over this whole process..but I dont think they really took me seriously. The next day he sends this service technician again with 1 other door...but NO HINGES to attach the door..so that was a waste of my time!!!!
Although I do have to say that this young man..I believe his name was "Ayube", not sure on the correct spelling...but he was very nice, he took the time to fix some of the issues I had with some doors that were installed in the beginning..he did touch ups..he was genuinely sorry that it had taken Raywal this long to finish my kitchen...he apologized for them. Ayube went above and beyond on making sure everything in the end was to my liking. He took his time and took the job seriously...so Thank you Ayube..if it were not for you I would probably still be waiting for Raywal to come back to finish the last details.
My kitchen is now complete, but I did waste MANY days during the summer waiting around for Raywal, being stressed over the completion and never once getting any sort of an apology other than from Kellee or Ayube....Cory or Jason never once apologized or seemed concerned...bad customer service skills.
As I look at my kitchen now, yes I like it as it looks a lot better then the ugly kitchen I had before, as I just purchased the home. But....with the money I paid for this kitchen...deep down when I look at it and see the lack of attention to detail and I see the things that others may not see..the amount of stress I went through with Raywal and their service I really have yet to enjoy it...
So I can honestly say that I WOULD NOT recommend or refer Raywal to anyone!!!...I AM A VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER to say the least.
