Sky High Tree Service Inc

During the holiday weekend, we noticed a large very rotten branch and thought it might come down with the wind. I contacted a couple of companies, sent photos and details, but no one responded. The next day I looked up Home Stars and found Sky High Tree Service, which has the highest rating.
It was now the holiday Monday (Victoria Day) and I did not expect a response at all. Linda immediately replied to my email and gave me a call. She asked if we were going to be home that day and I gave her a small window of the next few hours. She said she could have Micah out that day and called me right back with an ETA of within the hour.
Micah is a polite and likable fellow with an easy way about him but lots of knowledge. He didn't think the branch was as urgent as we did but there was another diseased branch and he said our beautiful old Mayday was splitting in two. After losing two other Maydays to black knot disease, we were not ready to lose our biggest asset in the back yard. He offered to cut the branches and some other spots of black knot plus bolt the tree together for their minimum charge of $300. We agreed and shortly after, we received confirmation from Linda with a written quote and scheduling for the next day. That was super fast and a big relief, especially with storms expected in the following days.
Micah and another gentleman came on Tuesday as planned. They carefully climbed our roof and cut down the branches; mostly by saw and then a little by chain saw. It was quick and quiet. They cleaned up, cleared the alley, and I paid by e-transfer. Linda sent me a paid receipt by email and I am happy to give them a rave review. If all service companies ran like Sky High, this would be a much better place to live. We will certainly use them for all of our future tree work. Thank you to everyone at Sky High!
