My Blackberry Curve displayed a debilitating error message. Removing the battery, restarting, reloading the software, nothing was working. An online search described it as the 'message of death'. I took it into the retailer and was told it was unfortunatley about 30 days over its warranty period. They could mail it somewhere ( far away) and for a fee ( something over $100), it could be 'looked' at. I f it was fixable there would be more charges, of course.... but I could purchase another one for just under $350! Wow, what a deal. Still in need of a phone and not fond of either of those options I was browsing through the sorry selection of their cheapest 'flip' phones when a more helpful clerk said, you know, there is somewhere you can go that might be able to help..... She told me about Cell Phone Repair Calgary (CPR) at Southland Crossing. I took my phone in, told my tale of woe and was told to come back in 24hrs. Back I returned and there was by BB, alive and well again ( minus my Contacts unfortunately, but ... oh well). $49.99 plus GST and a major disaster avoided! Definitely reccommend.
