Wallace showed up at the appointment time, and set to work. He found the problem quickly. He made some adjustments and showed me how to fine tune the performance of the unit . he then asked about the the other heating units and if they were performing properly.

Wallace has 'kept us going' for over ten years. He is always efficient, tidy, pleasant and honest. I hope he never retires!!

I find this company very professional on all fronts, from the receptionist when I call (cheery and chatty), to the gentleman who cleans the furnace.

An appointment is made one year ahead; a call to remind me is done the day previous to the cleaning, and if any changes come up, notice is given through email.

I especially appreciate the courtesy of the repairman. Wallace is usually the person to call. He dons shoe covers before entering the living space, lets me know what any issues are, and leaves the area clean and the lights out when he leaves.

We have had Wallace clean & maintain our 2 natural gas fireplaces for MANY years and have been thoroughly satisfied with his work. D& K has a great employee in Wallace & we appreciate his happy & knowledgeable presence annually. The fireplaces were installed 20+ years ago and fortunately for us they are still working great..thanks for keeping our home warm and comfy year after year. The technician arrived on time was neat and orderly and a problem was diagnosed which he realized was beyond his expertise. He arranged for the suitable repairman to come inside of about 3 hours and remedied the defective part. I and my wife were impressed by their prompt and complete repair; thank you!

Annual service on our furnace. He is always polite and nice to our growing dog. Always respectful of our floor also when he puts the covers on his boots. Which we appreciate.

D&K called beforehand to ensure that somebody was at home. The technician arrived shortly afterwards. He (Mike Vandervelde, who had been here at least once before) was, as always, pleasant and helpful. Did his work with a minimum of fuss or inconvenience to the household and afterwards explained the situation clearly and concisely. Everything was working well and there was no cause for concern. He did point out that our furnace is a few years old and not the most efficient, but did not try to pressure me to get a new one. I accepted that and he was clearly of the opinion that it was up to me to make any decision about renewal. The cost shown below is for renewal of the service contract for a further 12 months.

Work was good but they are very expensive. After the installation, I was able to track down what the job should have cost from a reliable Ottawa builder . I took down the model numbers and materials used and then got costs from the same suppliers D&K uses thru the builder. With a 2 man team on the job for 9 man hours the total job should have cost not more than $2,100 including tax. I asked for a breakdown of the invoice but never received one (in fact I did't get an invoice) . When challenged about the high price Shawn's response was mostly about how he needed 35% profit to stay in business. I'd recommend looking for someone else unless you like being overcharged,

Well done. Unfortunately had to return because there was no propane to conduct safety test but that was not a problem. Very easy to get along with. Would recommend anytime. Thank you.
