CONSUMER BEWARE

Paint & Wallpaper Contractors review in Toronto

We used Toronto Home Painters and feel compelled to share my experience.

Pros
- Quick response
- Services delivered quickly

Cons
- The estimate was for $1600 so I thought the job would take a least a day. The job took only 5 hours. Because I had paid upfront in good faith i was offered a final price of 1200. This puts the hourly cost of the painter at $240! Even if this painter is being paid 75 and hour....Toronto Home Painters stands behind their overhead costs being justified at 165 an hour.
- at the rate paid you would expect high caliber results. The below pictures (unable to upload - will try again later) show what we were left with....our concrete was not smoothed before it was painted as requested and stated in the estimate, paint was slopped all around the steps and even on the side of our home. Sloppy caulking job
- the painter sent to our home argued with us about having to extend the paint to include the side of the steps....he believed he only needed to paint the top?!? 20 mins of the job was him on the phone arguing with their sales team. When the job was done he took off and left they key in the front door and unlocked without notifying us.

Do you think this is reflective of a $240/hr job?
Consumer beware.
