Our backyard needed a complete overhaul - removal of a rotting wood retaining wall, regrading and resodding the entire back and side yard, and building it all back again with a new retaining wall and interlock patio.

Kurt's quote was competitive with others we received and he took the time to understand what we wanted for the space. We were confident moving forward given the commitment and attention to detail he pays to each project and are so glad we chose Distinctive Designs for ours!

Kurt ordered our chosen pavers well in advance (they wouldn't have been available if he hadn't had the foresight to do so), he was onsite every day which meant he was always accessible if we had any questions (we rarely did as he proactively told us what he'd be doing and why), and he gave us lots of ideas and his opinions without ever being pushy (there were a couple instances he steered us away from potential options because he felt it wouldn't be good value for our money).

Kurt's crew is also amazing. They are punctual, hard working and so polite. All of our neighbours commented on the quality of the work, how clean the site was left each day, and how friendly the crew was.

We hired Kurt and his team to replace our old interlocked walkways, front porch and driveway. Kurt and his team provided great service at a reasonable price and made the entire experience pleasant and stress free. I learned of Kurt through a colleague who had hired his company the year prior. I had reviewed the work and was impressed with the results. Kurt met with my wife and I a few times and came up with an excellent design. We had an old deck and wanted to replace it with an interlock patio and gazebo. We also wanted two garden beds and a new fence. Kurt and his team showed up on time each day, cleaned up, and were very professional. We wanted to keep a few trees in the backyard, and Kurt came up with an excellent layout to make this happen. The project was completed on time (to the amazement of my neighbour) and another neighbour remarked that he was really impressed by how thoroughly the work area was cleaned up after the completion of the project. We are very happy with Kurt’s work and will hire his company again to work on the front of our home.

After an extensive search, we selected Distinctive Designs Landscaping to work on the design and landscaping of the entire exterior of our newly renovated home. The project included backyard grading and landscaping, flagstone patio design and installation, multi-level planters, custom stonework fire pit, flagstone driveway and fencing. The crew cleaned up the staging area at the end of each day. When the project was finished the work site was completely cleaned, which included power washing the driveway and removed any and all construction material.
We are very pleased with the results and now have a functional back and side yard the we can enjoy.
