I decided to sell my home and had to get it ready quickly. I needed to improve the curb appeal by repairing the stairs and porch and adding a border down the side of the driveway. Kurt was the only one who was willing to do it for me quickly. He rearranged some other things to accommodate my rush job. His crew pulled it off in the very tight timeframe and did a great job. They came out to give me a quote and I found there price very reasonable. Very professional from the get go and the work they did was the same. I would use these again and definitely refer them.

We had Distinctive Designs put in a backyard patio. Once the project was started, it was completed in a timely fashion. We are very happy with the quality of the work and the materials used to complete the project. I was initially upset about having to put in a retaining wall as I felt that it would make the yard feel smaller but now that it is in it is a beautiful focal point and the yard actually seems larger.

I would recommend Kurt and his team anytime. I moved into my house two years ago, and the backyard was a complete mess. It had been unattended to for quite some time, and needed a major overhaul. As I live in a corner house, my backyard is actually facing the street, and previously had a chain link fence (hampering any kind of privacy most people enjoy while in their own backyard). The back patio consisted of cracked cement slabs with overgrown weeds. I called Kurt and he had some great ideas on how to proceed. He researched bylaws for my fence, and presented a competitive quote to do the work. He started the project much earlier than anticipated, and completed the whole thing in a week (he completed the back patio, fence, driveway and a small walkway). He stayed on budget, was flexible when I asked for changes, and paid attention to detail. I’m so pleased with the outcome that I plan on asking them to do my next project, too.

After interviewing many contractors to landscape our backyard, I found Kurt and his great team. What made him stand apart from the rest was the time he spent with me to go over the project and he even went to help me pick out the stones for the project. Kurt and his team did a great job on our project. We have a small urban backyard which was not being utilized well. They came in and demo'd the concrete, added nice stonework, privacy fencing all around the space, and even did a few small jobs in the front of our house (levelling some stairs and re-configuring flower beds).

Kurt was very quick to respond to questions and helped us make decisions that worked for us. His team completed the job in just one week and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. We now have a very usable space!
