Dr. Tubs re-glazed my tub with a basic white. The job was well done. The tub is now presentable and looks new.

I expected the installer to match the white colour of my existing white tub. I have an old tub and tile surround which is off white. I would have chosen the 'Bone White' over the basic white if I was shown colour swatches before the project was started. I am particular about colour. I was only told of alternative colours after the project was completed and wish I had been informed previous to the start of the project.

Hi KNG in Toronto, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't completely satisfied with our service. Looking back at the order I see from the before picture you sent us , that your tub was white to begin with and that is why we likely never suggested our 2 other colours, namely Bone or Almond. My assumption is that we were never asked about other colours at the time the order was taken.
Our technicians don't carry different colour paints unless they were specifically ordered for the job. Furthermore, they don't have colour swatches to show clients as they are just the reglazers and not sales-people. Lastly, I did inspect your tub after we reglazed it ( in March 2015) and found it to be beautiful. When I offered to come back to redo it in one of the other colours, you decided to paint it yourself.
I appreciate you taking the time to write this review and if you ever need a tub to be refinished in white, bone or almond, you can always call us back.

Bathtub Reglazing - Different shades of white

Dr. Tubs is suitable for reglazing your tub a basic bright white colour. This will make your tub clean, presentable and functional. They are not suitable for designers - or those who are particular about shades of white colour.

The company painted my tub the basic bright white. The tub is now clean, presentable and functional. The existing tiles are an ivory white. The bright white tub makes the tiles look urine stained. The differences are painfully obvious. The owner was not willing to re-glaze to make me happy. I was willing to partially pay again. Every time I go into the bathroom I am greeted with a sick dirty feeling.

It is my fault for not establishing my white colour preference. However, the company should have presented to me a colour swatch/ shade option before they painted. The owner agreed the tiles now looked stained. The work was functionally done well. However my happiness with the finished product was simply my expectations of a better matching shade of white and Dr. Tubs would not accommodate me in any way. I guess I have to live with my mistake. Every morning I have that sick feeling and a touch of anger with myself for not insisting to see a colour swatch.
