Jim's Moving

These guys are incredible.
I've moved a number of times and this was the first time that I decided to hire movers, based on a recommendation from a friend who had recently used Jim's Moving. I will never not hire movers again, and Jim's Moving would be my first call. If you are even thinking about renting a truck and calling your buddies to help you move, just don't.
The 2 movers that we got were incredibly efficient and got all of our furniture and boxes loaded in to one truck, when I would have needed to do 2 or 3 trucks loads if I'd done it on my own.
They knew all the tricks for moving big and heavy pieces of furniture, and protecting fragile pieces. Very impressive.

This was the second time I've used Jim's Moving, and I only have GREAT things to say about them. Meredith and his team are pure professionals. From the first phone call to set up the move through to the follow up afterward, their attention to detail was obvious.

The team was efficient. They did an initial walk through, planned their approach, and then they HUSTLED! There was no wasted time or effort. They were exceptionally organized and coordinated in all aspects of the work.

I was so impressed with how polite they were despite unpleasant circumstances with my ex-landlord. She was nasty and truly unreasonable: she blocked their way, yelled at them, told them to get off her property, threatened to call the police for trespassing. Most notable through all this was mover Sean who diplomatically took point in dealing with her to buffer the team and me from her angry attacks.

This was a tough move for me. I was under doctor's orders not to lift anything heavier than ten pounds, so I couldn't do as much as I would have liked. The team stepped up to help with furniture disassembly / reassembly, they arranged boxes so I could easily unpack later, and they did some minor repairs for me too. There were no complaints with me changing my mind (repeatedly LOL) and saying "No, I think I actually want it over there, can you shift that around again."

The movers were careful and there was no breakage despite some less-than-ideal packing that had been done prior to their arrival. My china cabinet, a precious family heirloom, arrived without a scratch. My heavy (and I do mean HEAVY) oak dresser made it up the narrow stairs to my bedroom with no damage to dresser, walls, or to the movers. I held my breath on that one, but like I said these guys are pros!

I highly recommend Jims Moving. You wont go wrong with them.

This was the first time I tried Jim's Moving after reading some great reviews on yelp. Meredith had to put up with me emailing tons of questions and information, almost every few days. I was so stressed about the move, I didn't want any curve balls. He gave me great advice, always answered promptly, gave me options, recommendations, and asked the right questions. On the day of the move, he and his guys, Martin and Mo, were all amazing. They knew exactly what to do, and they went way beyond the call of duty, even fixing furniture and getting a cable out of the wall that I didn't have the right tools for. They even checked near the end to make sure they had everything: "is this coming?" My neighbour was watching and said, "Man, those guys motor". The whole time, they were nice, patient, professional, good at what they do and FAST. I would use them again in a second and I highly recommend them. Hope they are around for my next move! Don't hesitate to use them.

So my neighbor used this company and i watched drinking coffee and my neighbor bought the coffee....they said they were great....They were quick but careful....So i had a friend who asked me who to call....and i passed on details....they told me they were thrilled with these guys....they even assembled their kids beds for them as they could not carry them up narrow step hallway....very impressive folks

Truly Impressive! Within minutes of my voice mail message, Meredith returned my call, booked my move and gave me a very reasonable, accurate quote! On move day, Nick and Tyler arrived on time and did an AMAZING job! They were courteous, friendly and worked tirelessly for 5 hours. They walked up and down countless stairs, moved heavy furniture through narrow spaces and even did a side trip for me– dropping off furniture at the Salvation Army. I can’t thank Meredith and his team enough for making my move a breeze! Highly Recommended!!!!

EXCELLENT movers. I spoke with Meredith a few times prior to our appointment and sorted out the details. They showed up a few minutes early and eager to get moving. We had a slightly difficult entrance to where we were moving out of, and they took the challenge in stride. Once we were at our new place they were very careful to try and not track anything onto our brand new floors. I cannot stress enough how great the entire experience was. To top it all off, the phone estimate I was given was bang on, and in the end was WELL worth hiring this company. Very highly recommended!!! Great work!

We had Jim's Moving move us twice from the same apartment in downtown Vancouver (once to move us to our house and the second after we had staged the place and sold). These men work hard! Lots of stairs to contend with and not a complaint heard. They worked diligently and handled our possessions with great care. Well priced. We would definitely hire them again, but we don't plan to move anytime soon...thankfully. Thank you Meredith for all your hard work.

I contacted a number of moving companies to get a quote on moving a 4 bedroom townhouse to our new single family home. After many conversations and few onsite quotes I settled on Jim's Moving. They seemed the most professional and knowledgeable.
On moving day the crew showed up on time with a large moving truck. The crew were very polite and respectful and even covered their shoes in our house. They had all the dollies and blankets for the move.
The move turned out to be the least stressful I have every had. All our furniture was moved and no damaged occurred with anything. The men worked very carefully but still quickly. At the end the price was as agreed and I even gave them a nice tip for such good work. I will hire this company again and will recommend them to all my friends and family.
