I and truly glad to here so many people have had a good experience with Garage Builders. We didn't. In fact we didn't even get a garage . On Feb 18, 2015 we signed a contract with Reg to begin building a garage on May 15, to be completed by June 15, subject to weather conditions. We had discussed my need for a shelter to hang game during hunting season, when I come in late at night and my shed was just too small and too low. I was assured that the garage would be in place in lots of time. We had the best May and June on Record. On May 22 Reg phoned to say that the Town of Okotoks required that my wife and I sign a letter of authorization to allow them to grant a permit to Garage Builders. That is the first date stamp on the application with the town. One week after they should have started building. The next date stamp is on June 18 and stated "Date on which all documentation necessary for permit application was received." Three days after construction was to be completed. I continually called Reg and/or Glenn after June 1 to find out when they would start and was always told "a week to 10 days". We were completely unaware that they had gotten into a big blowout with the staff in the town office.
On July 21, we notified Reg that if he could not confirm that completion would be by Sept. 1 that we would have to terminate the contract. On Aug. I , we notified them that because of their construction time frame and the towns permitting time frame that completion by Sept. 1 was not possible and the contract is null and void. Hoping that we could still find somebody to build a garage before hunting season. No builders are available so now I am building a shed instead. Our contract was with Garage Builders not the Town of Okotoks and we did not know of any issue between the parties until the middle of July. Thanks Glenn your narcissistic attitude seems to have left us without a garage and a mess in the yard where we removed the shed, tore out the garden and rearranged everything to accommodate the construction that never happened and all that you did was try to blame everybody but yourself.

Yes we did sign a contract and this began last year and we told him then it would be hard to get a permit and it was left at that
Early this year he wanted a garage again knowing the difficulties with the town we said we would give it a go and most of what he says is true but we being a responsible company we can not build without a permit and wont
In the end the town would not approve the permit than Bill got all angry at us but we have no control over the town and he was refunded the 1,000.00 deposit and now we are out the cost of the permit and at least 30 hours of work on this project and that is just the way it is and he knew this going in
We have contacted all the people at the town and they said they sent him an email about all of this and he told us nothing about the correspondence which he was supposed to do but instead he got all mad at us and that's ok but in the end they still did not approve the project and there is nothing we can do or any other contractor as he is finding out
