Nomad Roofing

Having my roof re-shingled by Nomad Roofing was a positive experience all around.

My old roof had hail damage and it was some time before my adjuster came on site and the estimate was completed.  There was pressure from the roofing company the insurance company had sent out to look at my roof to give the go-ahead to ensure the work would be done before winter. I was told my roof wouldn’t make it through the winter and the spring thaw without possible leaking issues. Any related damage would not be covered by insurance so I needed to get on with the re-roof PDQ. I wasn’t unhappy with the replacement figure but being as I wanted to upgrade from the existing lower grade material, I felt the difference to upgrade to get to a mid or premium level replacement product was a bit steep.

To be certain I was getting a fair deal, I decided I needed another quote. I tried to get other roofers out to give me a second opinion and quote. Most couldn’t be bothered with me. It was getting late in the year and they probably thought I would just go with the company that quoted the insurance job any way.  Nomad appreciated the spot I was in. They came out within a week of my call. They started with an inspection and said that, although it wasn’t the best case scenario, they saw no reason why the damaged roof wouldn’t make it through to the spring. There numbers to upgrade where far better when those added onto the insurance quote. They did an excellent job of comparing the mid to the low, then the mid to the premium so I could understand what I would be getting for the additional out of pocket cost.

I got through the winter and spring just fine. I was able to upgrade to the top-of-the-line GAF Sequoia Designer shingle and couldn’t be more pleased. I was having trouble picking a colour, then decided to just turn the choice over to Erin at Nomad. Her recommendation was spot on. It looks great and really improves the overall curb appeal of my home. I had been considering changing the colour of my siding, but with the shingle colour recommended it now fits in perfectly and looks amazing. Best quality and great look. Yes I’m bragging, I think I have the best looking roof in the neighbourhood.

Nomad’s (Erin’s) knowledge of available products was impressive. She explained where the value was. There was no pressure, just information. I have no doubt I made the right choice in making this important investment in my home now and for future re-sale. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to have their roof replaced.
