1 888 Junk Van

I was looking to have a few items removed and taken to the dump and decided to purchase a teambuy offer from this company offering $35 rubbish removal for 250 pounds of stuff. I thought this was a great deal as I was sure that the stuff I had did not weight that much. I scheduled the appointment on Sunday as it is my only day off. The truck came about an hour late and then when my stuff was on the truck I am told that is is $150 with tax. I am told that the junk weighs over 600 pounds and that is the extra charges. I ask to see the weight from the onboard scale they said they had but am told that it is not working and that charges are based on personal experience.I unfortunately pay the amount on my credit card as I do not want to get into an argument and I have other things to do. I will never use this company again and would like to warn others.

. Had the worse experience with these people and I do not recommend them to anyone.

I recently purchased a deal online for junk removal for $35 and have had to call and reschedule with these people four times! Everytime they were scheduled to come pick up junk from our office we were told a new excuse.

First time they rescheduled, the second time one of the crew members got injured and was being rushed to the hospital as we spoke, the third time their debit machine was not working and we were told to pick up the two items (a white-board and coffee table) it would all of a sudden cost us more than $250!, and then the forth (and last) time, I called to confirm pick-up and I was told that their truck had just broken down and was being taken to the mechanics!!!!!!!!

How do you run a business like this?? On top of that, I can't even get a full refund because it's been over 7 days

Junk van was a little late, but only by 1/2 hour. Estimate unsure of poundage. Polite young men, My son charged 200+gas+dumping fee. The young men said if it was their mother, they would have done it for free. But sala vie. I paid both. The best thing about Junk Van is you show them where the stuff is and they move, were in and out within 45 minutes. Kind fellows. Then the driver gave me another coupon if I needed their help. I am very impressed. They have no dollies to help themselves, but they sure have strong backs, lol. Thank You Junk Van. I will be calling again.

I found a groupon for 1-888 junk and thought that I would give it a try. I had used another more "name brand" junk removal service in the past and found them to be very good but a bit on the pricier side. I called ahead before I purchased the groupon and got a quote for removal of about 170lbs of waste. The groupon was for $35 for 100lbs of junk so I had to purchase 2 of them for the load. We scheduled a date and time. Two men showed up on time, I pointed them in the direction of the trash that had to be removed and they did all the work. Overall, I was very pleased with the service.

Bought a voucher for $35 for $250 lbs.
The day of my appt they never showed up.They rescheduled to the nxt week - took my junk away & told me they would bill me 0.30$ per lbs over.
When my bill came it was close to $1700 - a garage of misc crap is not over 5250lbs. They argued.
I finally got ahold of the head office & they delt with it somewhat - still had to pay alot more than i expected.
They never showed me the truck weight reading.

Reliable and timely service - they were able to pick up within a day of calling - very quick and easy to deal with. Took all instructions over the telephone so we did not have to be home to instruct or supervise.

The 3 young men that moved and disposed of two bookcase/shelving units, worked well together as a team and did a great job of solving how to lower components down a narrow stairway. And, they were cautious that no damage be done to hardwood floors in the process! I was very pleased with this service.
