New A/C - Quick to sell, slower to service

At first I was very impressed with this company. They did a far better job at visiting my home, taking time to explain the ins and outs of the various solutions, and were great throughout the sales process. The unit was installed as promised and switched on.

Unfortunately, the unit is louder than it is supposed to be. I was told by the installer that it was irregular, and that he would put in a service call to have it looked at, to install a piece that I had paid for, and to swap out a breaker on my electrical panel. He told me to expect a call to set up an appointment.

The next call I received (mid morning the following day) was from a service guy on the way to my house. Like most people, I work a job and I had taken the day off to oversee the installers. I had to explain that I couldn't meet him, and he said he'd sort out the mess and someone would call me right back. No one contacted me again until I reached out to them to complain several days later. Now, instead of being able to accommodate another visit on a pre-scheduled vacation day, I have to take another morning off for them to come back and troubleshoot the issue. Even on the call to set up the appointment, they weren't even aware that the machine was making noise and that it needed a part that I paid for and wasn't included.

Suffice to say, my initial impression has changed for the negative over time. I'm hoping that regular service calls will be easier to manage but I won't hold my breath. That being said, I will be happy to post a new review when my annual maintenance happens, if it goes well. There are inevitably hiccups with any company and I'm disappointed to find that this one isn't living up to its reputation.
