I had issues with the PEX pipes that were leaking and I had to shut the main water valve to the house. I had no heat and no hot water for 3 days. I called the company I rent my water tank with and they wouldn't fix it because they deemed it a 'plumbing' issue.. Even though both my air handler and the hot water tank are connected by these plastic pipes, and I rent both air handler and hot water tank from them! So I called Ely and he was already on a job, but he sent his father 'Mony' who came to my house within a couple of hours and replaced the first PEX line, tested it and it was no leaking. Then he checked the other PEX line and discovered a small small leak. So he went out to Home Depot to pick up the part came back and replaced the line. He checked both lines to make sure they weren't leaking and told me to keep my eye out on them and if they were leaking again to call back. Luckily there hasn't been any leaks. To my surprise Ely called me later that night to follow up and ask how the service was and advised me about the old "discontinued" PEX piping that I had in my house (it's plastic with aluminium in between) and said that the PEX I had is no longer used in the industry because of problems, and told me to watch out for future water leaks and suggested possibly to replace old PEX pipes down the road. Both Mony and Ely were professional and honest in their options/advice.

Thank you for the kind review Daniel I am a 3rd generation master plumber and have seen many plumbing products come and go. Unfortunately the pex pipe installed in your subdivision is no longer used due to the problems it causes. This type of pex pipe is called kitec it is lined with aluminum between 2 layers of plastic. We try to carry as much product on our vehicles as possible. We try our best to only use high grade type A pex ex wirsbro it is uv rated And holds over 150psi and can expand and contract better than other plastic pipes to prevent these types of issues.
