After my tenant discovered mold in her bedroom carpet, I arranged for an inspection. Gregg performed a thorough walkthrough of areas likely to be affected, and discovered more mold infestation in the ensuite bathroom. (He also made sensible recommendations for improvements on matters that were not specifically mold-related.)

For mold remediation, he recommended removing small parts of the carpet and some drywall in a couple of places, removing the tub, tiles, and vanity in the bathroom and spraying the area with antifungal chemicals (meant to be safe for humans). (Mold.ca does not do any of the restoration; their job is to remove and dispose of the affected pieces.)

The company submitted a reasonable estimate, and they were quite ready to accomodate a shifting schedule - I was also coordinating with the contractor who was to come and start replacing the elements.

The crew came and performed a professional, clean job in just under one day, taking care not to disturb the occupants more than necessary.

All in all, while I was not happy to deal with the mold itself, I was very satisfied with mold.ca.

We moved into a power of sale house last year and knew the roof would soon need replacing. We noticed this Spring that we had some watermarks on our ceiling and immediately had the roof replaced. We wanted to blow some more insulation into our attic, but my husband was concerned that because there had been some water damage, that the insulation may have become moldy and may need to be removed. I spoke to the company that we were hiring to blow in the insulation and they recommended mold.ca. I am so happy they did! I called Gregg and he responded back very promptly. His price for the inspection was very reasonable and I assumed he would just come and check out our attic. He inspected the ENTIRE house -- the basement, the main floor, our bathroom and the attic. And there was good news! There wasn't a water leak from our roof -- it ended up being the humidifier we had in our son's room (it was a cheapy one from Shoppers that you plugged in and it just kept going until it was empty) and there was too much humidity and it stained the ceiling. Anyway, Gregg gave us a crash course in mold and gave us some tips to prevent any potential issues so we can avoid getting mold in the future. We were very pleased with the report he sent us detailing his findings. He was a great guy, very knowledgeable, reasonably priced and we would not hesitate to recommend this firm.

We noticed black mold on a wall in our basement, but didn't really understand the scope of the problem. Not wanting to mess around, we called mold.ca to get an assessment of the situation. They came and investigated, using their equipment to detect the full spread of the moisture. This was useful when having the drywall removed, but we didn't use them for the removal or repairs as we received lower quotes elsewhere.

This is the company you want to use if you have mold. I would recommend Mold.ca to anyone, I can't give them a high enough recommendation. They excelled in both the job they performed and in customer service and care - I'd give them an 11th star if I could. They made a very, very difficult and stressful situation much easier to manage.
I suspected we had mold and came straight to Homestars.ca to find a few companies to inspect my home. Gregg from Mold.ca Inc. agreed to come out that afternoon. He was punctual for our appointment and walked me through the affected areas with a moisture meter showing me where he suspected mold. He recommended air testing and thought it might be a good idea to find out what type of mold was present, though since the mold and damage was visible we made the decision to proceed without it.

I had a few companies come in to get a second opinion and all had the same findings, in a similar or lower price range, but I chose Mold.ca because Gregg was the only one who explained it thoroughly and ensured there wouldn't be any surprises for me and was able to clearly explain the process and answer all of my questions. And I had a lot of questions. I respect the company for their integrity. They told me what would be done, what time-line they'd work within and what to expect. They gave me a quote and there were no extras, no ad-ons.
I wanted it done as soon as possible and as quickly as possible and Gregg arranged to come within the week.
Everything went so smoothly, down to Gregg arranging for a scrap metal guy to pick up some of the waste and a dumpster to come to my house for half an hour while they loaded everything in at the end of the job, instead of having the dumpster on my lawn for two days. Gregg even had his guys clear out some garbage from the back of my home, unrelated to the mold removal, saving me the trouble of having it hauled away separately. Gregg had quoted me a daily rate plus a dumpster fee. I realized when the dumpster got to my home that I hadn’t asked if there was an additional charge for the weight of the garbage and asked Gregg what the additional fee would be. He reassured me that there wouldn’t be any surprises. The rate he gave me included everything. They are simply THAT straight forward.
The pleasant surprise was that they cleaned up so thoroughly afterwards, sweeping and all. And at the end, there was Gregg with a garbage bag searching the front yard and the neighbour's yard for any last remnants of garbage that may have gotten away. I’m glad I found the right guys for the job.

I found Gregg to be very knowledgable and thorough at our initial assessment appointment. He explained the nature and scope of the work required. He and his crew were very efficient and over the course of 2 days removed all the mold-infected material (wood, dry wall, insulation, etc.) from my basement. They disposed of all the material in a disposal bin and left my house, both interior and exterior, in a very neat and clean state. Following his work, he tested the basement for the presence of mold (through a laboratory facility) and favorable results came back. My finishing carpenter was very impressed with the extent of the work performed and the neat and clean condition in which the basement was left for him to continue with the reconstruction. Gregg was very accommodating and removed additional non-mold related debris from my house and garage and disposed of it in his disposal bin, at no additional cost. After having another mold removal company come into our house to give us a quote on removing our mold problem, meeting Gregg and Ross from mold.ca at the Toronto Home Show was a breath of fresh air.
