Basement Moisture

We highly recommend Mold.ca. Personnel at this company are knowledgeable, professional, and competent. We are so glad and relieved that we discovered this company.

Four weeks ago, we had a troubling mildew problem in the basement. It formed on clothes and shoes and sometimes on the tile surface. We feared the worst.

Finding help to assess and resolve the problem was overwhelming. How could we know whether the companies we called were bona fide? How could we know that the representatives who came out would be competent? Our lack of experience left us at the mercy of the people we spoke with. We spent a whole day researching, reading, calling around to different companies.

What luck to have discovered Mold.ca. Company personnel took the time to educate us. We received counselling about the two main kinds of assessment. We received advice about which would be appropriate, given what we knew of the problem. This was particularly relevant to the issue of costs. We didn't want to over-extend unnecessarily. But we wanted to diagnose and fix the problem. Impressively, we even got a referral to consult with the person regarded as 'the authority on mold issues' in case we thought that relevant. And! we were even advised on DIY means of preliminary assessment.

After that first phone call, we did further research based on the information which Mold.ca provided. There are companies that trade on fear. Mold.ca is not one of them. We called later and booked an appointment.

But something terrible happened. On Monday, when the technician was to have come out, we realized our error. We had mixed up the date of the appointment. Imagine our disappointment. But Mold.ca was 100% accommodating. The company confirmed the correct appointment date and discounted the price of the service: 50%. To say that we are satisfied customers is to make an understatement.

Best of all, we have resolved the problem. The assessor who came out identified the issue and counselled us on how to resolve it. There was no question about his knowledge or competence. He was 100% professional.
