Bathroom Reno

Please save your money, time and material cosy and don't hire Greg he has zero skills in Renovations. He only works 1-2 hrs a day and all items he installed had to be ripped out. Greg left 1-2" gaps putting up stone board in the bathtub. Then tried to use corner bead and mud to cover up this mess. The bathtub was not shimmed correctly. The wrong screws were used on the stone board. All tiles were crooked and some tiles were chipped. I asked for my house keys back and my money for not performing the job correctly. So much for hiring from Kijiji.

tiling, floor laying, home renovations

Greg Brown was hired to do general contracting around our home with the major jobs being tiling of our kitchen and 2 baths, laminate flooring, baseboards, and other minor work. The timeline given was a week. It instead took over 2 weeks because he hardly ever put in a full day's work. The tile work was atrocious with very blatant uneven tile spacing, 2+ inch spaces from door frames, uneven cutting of the tiles and huge gaps were simply filled with grout and looked terrible. The bathroom had an uneven floor which Greg simply tiled over and left as it was despite noticing that the tile came up at about a 45 degree angle! He couldn't be bothered to level the floor before laying the tile then grouting it even though the tiles were not laying flat. Broken tiles were set and different colours of grout were used. None of the baseboard was flush with the walls but Greg was kind enough to buy caulking to suggest we finish up what he was paid to do! Horrible work. The tile is so bad that we refused to pay and must get a professional tiler in to redo the job. We were also expected to get all of his supplies and drop them off which was very inconvenient
