With craftsmanship and attention to detail, Mike and his team made the front of our home the talk of the neighborhood.
The ceadar deck he crafted for our family will be enjoyed for years and years.
We gave Mike an idea as to what we were after and he designed us a deck that was exactly what we wanted. We asked him for specifics such as "pregnant lady" spindles and he made each one by hand. There is no way I could even begin to duplicate his work. It's truly a craft that he has a handle on!

Our old deck was sinking and in desperate need of repair. In the summer of 2008, Mike built our new dream deck. He listened to our ideas and added some useful feedback of his own. The final product was solid, secure, and much better-looking than we expected, with some beautiful finishing touches in the stairs and railing. The price was fair, and I would not hesitate to work with Mike again.

Mike and Dan were absolutely a PLEASURE to work with. Yes, they were efficient, pleasant, clean. prompt, patient (when other workers interefered with their schedule!) and more...but they are master craftsmen! The dining room floors were fairly basic and didn't present any real challenge, but the BEDROOM area (Bedroom, hallway, 2 stairs and small ante-room) was unique. The hardwood was double-stained WHITE! Any mark or nick would show! Well, they did it perfectly! And to maximize the 'look' and enhance the size of the area, they laid it horizontally rather than vertically (width v. length-wise). That obviously took them more time, but they cared enough to make it all 'pop'! And it does!

I would recommend them without any reservation! They are first-class...and I'm sure anyone checking HomeStars knows that such craftsmen are hard to find!

Mike from Woodcraft is a Holmes on Holmes kind of guy. Quite a perfectionest (fixes any and all previous sins from the builder).He does quality work which might take a little longer but is definately worth it. He took down a wall, installed all the cupboards,laid all new sub floors(so they would not squeek)all new exotic hardwoods and trim.He looked after everything else in between.Definately a nice guy with a very strong work ethic!

We recently contracted Woodcraft Design & Build to complete our Basement Renovation. The contractor was definitely one the best we have come across in a long time, and we are perfectionist ! The project was complex and required a variety of skills to complete. The contractor was very professional, had an eye for detail, suggested many great ideas to maximize the outcome of the renovation, established reasonable project timelines and based on the quality of work in this renovation it was obvious that "stellar quality" is definitely one of their goals. The company also demonstrated that client satisfaction is also a priority. This was definitely demonstrated in the workmanship from beginning to end: from framing, drywall, mudding & taping, flooring (porceline & floating floor), plumbing (3 piece bath & wet bar, recessed ceiling tile, painting, doors, moulding, baseboards and door accessories. Oh, how could I forget something so important to us, CLEAN UPS: the up front consideration given to limit a very dusty place and the clean-ups during the project...this was so important to us as clients and we were never disappointed ! We were so happy with our basement renovation, the stellar quality and the courteous, pleasant staff we are now contracting this company to complete our office renovations at our business. During the renovation I went down to the basement to see how things were going and had some questions. After talking to Mike about what had to be done, I honestly felt smarter bceause he took the time to explain to me what had to be done and the potential that the basement had, After hearing that i knew i made the right choice on who to hire. Once the job was done Mike came and got me and took me to the basement and i was blown away on how good of a job Mike did. Next project the kitchen and i'm looking forward to having Mike at woodcraft design & build come back.

We have used Mike more than once. Our last project consisted of 1,000 sq ft of hardwood as well as new baseboards, crown moldings and a coiffure ceiling which all look amazing. Mike started when he said he would and finished on time as well. He was not the least expensive but after seeing some of his portfolio shots we felt very confident he was better than just average and seemed to have a real love for his work as well as being very proud. This is probably the 5th time we have used Mike and his brother and will continue to do so in the future.
