The Move Man

I just wanted to write say that I had a wonderful experience with Ian and his team (Paul and Jesse). Our landlord evicted us from our office space with very little notice. I called The Move Man and was given fantastic service. We incurred a bunch of costs that we weren't expecting (moving phones and computers) so when it came to the moving bill I was so delighted. It ended up being half what the competitors quoted. Fast, polite, on time and clean cut. Well done Move Man. Thanks Again. Laurie.

I can't say enough good things about Ian and his crew.
First off they were on time and show up with a big moving truck with a cool looking wrap of the moving man logo.
They were friendly and easy to deal with.
I collect furniture and was concerned about things getting damaged during the move.
Ian assured me that everything would arrive as it was taken.
He was right, not only was any of my possessions damaged they actually set everything up in my place for me.
As a business owner myself I deal with a lot of different services and people.
The Moving Man is right up there with the best of them.
Thanks for the great experience dealing with you and your crew Ian.
I will definitely be calling on you guys for the next move.

I can’t recommend ‘The Move Man’ highly enough. They’re clean-cut, fast, friendly and courteous. A friend gave me Ian’s number and he set me up with Ray and his crew who were a real pleasure to work with. They were very professional and did and excellent job. I’ll definitely be using ‘The Move Man’ for my next move and wouldn’t hesitate recommending them to a friend!

I can not say enough about what a terrific team we had for our move. After 34 years it was time to downsize. We needed two trucks so it was no small move. 5 of the best young fellows you could ask for arrived to move us. They were polite, helpful, organized and patient. They were swift and well trained and knew exactly what they were doing. What could have been a very long hard day turned out to be easy due to the talent of the moving crew. They had everything on the truck within 3 1/2 hours!!!The price was unbeatable and no competitor even came close. I can not say enough about this company. A million times thank you to Ian and The Moving Man crew of wonderful guys. P.S. Lots of collectibles and antiques that needed TLC that were handled beautifully. There was not one item broken or marred in any way. It was the perfect move!

I cannot over emphasize what a fantastic moving experience I had Ian and his team. They had me out of my old place on the North Shore and into my new place in Vancouver in about three hours from beginning to end. His team were enthusiastic, polite, and really great about taking care of my stuff - and got the job done efficiently. They even helped take apart a bed and put it back together at my new place!

All this at a price that was 66% less than another quote I got from another reputable mover. I simply could not believe what a great deal the move was. They made what could have been an incredibly stressful day - into an exciting one, which made me feel like the move to my new home was the start of an great new chapter in my life.

The old saying goes that you can only get two of three on value, great service, or speedy results. Well - I can honestly say that
The Move Man delivered on everything. I have no reservations in recommending Ian and his team.

I had the Move Man do some residential moving work for me and they were great. They showed up on time, did more than what we'd originally discussed, and did it quickly and efficiently. Would certainly recommend them for any work!

The Move Man delivered the furniture that we bought from The Living Lab. The crew members unwrapped the furniture pieces and cleaned up the wrapping bubbles, boxes and papers. They didn't leave any mess for us. They also helped us to move the furniture around to where we wanted them in our rooms. Ian, Farshid and Tyler are quick, friendly, helpful and professional. I would not hesitate to hire The Move Man again.

Company provided an invoice for services only after I informed them I was publishing this review. Payment was demanded at completion of move and that the invoice would follow. I was never provided a written contract prior to the move as their bio on Home stars states they provide.

It appears based on posted rates I was over billed. Provided invoice does not break down the charges so do not know for sure. I requested two guys and truck they came with 3 guys (which costs significantly more). I sent numerous requests for an invoice via email as I was instructed. I received no response until I informed them of my plans to review them negatively.

The actual move was done well but the administration side as it relates to invoicing and payment is very unprofessional. Despite the good work I would not recommend them to friends.

I deducted 1 star for no invoice, deducted another star for not responding to request to clarify billing, and deducted another star for the poor communication prior to and post move that resulted in an extra guy not requested and possible over billing.

If using them I would make sure you get a written contract upfront for what services are being provided and withhold payment until an invoice is received.

I love The Move Man. This was my 2nd time using them to move apartments. The guys showed up on time, were polite and helpful, and very careful with my stuff. Highly recommended.
