I spent over $5000 on flooring and dealt with Shawn. It has been the worst experience ever. Initially i was going to have them do the install but because they were so booked up soonest available install wasn’t until December 11th from my initial visit November 24th. I was able to have a family friend complete the install for me instead a week sooner, which was great because we needed to move by December 15th. When I contacted Shawn to cancel the appointment he wanted to charge me a %30 restocking fee for canceling?? said they charge this because now they would have to find other work for their installers. I disputed this on the grounds that they are so booked up that they couldn’t get me a sooner install. He reluctantly cancelled the job and waived the cancelation fee because he was able to bump up another customers install. HOWEVER.... since that he has been extremely unprofessional and rude, even to the point of insulting my installer who is a family friend. I have had to contact him regarding the flooring on a few occasions, the stair nosing I was provided were not only mismatched in the boxes but were also not appropriate for my stairs. I had to drive back twice, the first time to show Shawn the type of nosing I needed (this was when he first insulted my friend) and second to bring back the mismatched ones which again would not work. When I contacted him to tell him this he again insulted my installer and insisted that they were fine because this is what their contractors use, but they have to be altered to actually work. I was able to purchase other nosing elsewhere that did not have to be altered. I requested to return the nosing as I could not use them and again he wanted to charge me a restocking fee. I offered to drive them to the warehouse myself which is 10 minutes away from the store, I also told him how it was very unprofessional to be insulting customers family, and to be selling a product that does not work with the job. Instead of acknowledging this and apologising for the insults he cut me off midsentence, told me to bring the product in and i would receive a cheque in the mail in 10 business days per the " TERMS AND CONDITIONS". I asked him what the terms and conditions were and he told me to "READ THE CONTRACT" all in all.... I wish I had spent my $5000 somewhere else, and I wish I had read all the reviews on line before I stepped foot into this store, it seems that other people have had problems with Shawn as well. I recommend anyone considering this store to read the fine print of the contract because they do not tell you about the restocking fee upfront, and you cannot see what you are getting in the box, so if it doesn’t work for you expect to pay a %30 restocking fee
