It was an extreme pleasure dealing with Tom. I value quality work over price in all my daily transactions and to our delight, Tom delivered both. Tom showed up early, was an excellent communicator and outlined a schedule, including rain delays which kept us informed daily and was thus met with ease. Most contractors clean up at the end of the job but Tom left our place imaculate daily! Tom pointed out things that were wanting and through his own initiative, fixed them at no extra cost. His team was extremely polite and hard working. I would definitely recommend Rawlinson Carpentry and suggest others ask for a quote and meet Tom to share a similar experience. We moved to Toronto last fall and though our house is wonderful, it was missing a gate door to the back yard. We had a baby gate in place to keep our two small dogs in the yard, but it would fall from time to time, resulting in escaping pugs.

Thomas took care of that. Our new gate was affordable, and installed quickly but with care. Thomas was communicative and attentive throughout the process of site visit, quote, and installation. He even took care of a couple of other small jobs we had during his visit for a very reasonable rate.

We have him quoting on a new project already.

JT Rawlinson build me a deck in my backyard. Like the other reviews, his price was affordable for me and his work was impeccable. It is clear he knows his trade like no other and I felt very comfortable leaving him to it. He also threw in a few extras that weren't part of the contract, which I was grateful for. He was very clean and left the backyard cleaner than it was before. I look forward to working with him again!

JT Rawlinson built our backyard deck which was fairly large and quoted us a very fair price, well under other quotes. We had asked for several quotes from various companies. His work is excellent and on time. He is always accomodating to a few extras: he even desodded and gravelled our side path, and also took away some junk that we were trying to dispose of in the garage! We're looking forward to getting more work done by him in the future.

JTR Did an outstanding job for us and we will call upon him again when the need arises. Helped us stay on budget, and best of all was patient in dealing with minor changes that "unfolded" along the way. We highly recommend Tom and his crew as they delivered an excellent service at the right price.

Last April John Thomas Rawlinson was hired to put cedar shakes on my house and to paint the entire house. Work was done for about 4 days then he asked to postpone the project as he had other projects to complete. However he insisted on a 50% deposit ( $ 3200). Bottom line, I never saw Mr Rawlinson again. When i finally reached him early July claimed to have cancer but in follow up with some of his references, he is back working. I am now out of pocket $2200. In addition to his integrity issue, he has anger management issues - during his limited time working on my house, he had a major argument with Canada Post - I was advised by Canada Post head-office that they would no deliver my mail if he was working there. People should be made aware of this fraudulent person who goes by a couple of name: John Rawlinson and Thomas Rawlinson.
