Thomas and Tom were great, and the kids are going to miss them, now that the deck is done! They kept the job site clean and safe for us during non-work hours. The job was completed on time and on budget. The new deck is amazing, clean, safe, and exactly as was requested. Would highly recommend Rawlinson Carpentry. We hired Rawlinson for a a re-design and build of our deck as well as for two fences and an additional gate. Tom is the most professional service provider that I have worked with. The quote process was completely transparent and the invoice paid matched the quote down to the penny. The work that was performed was of the highest quality and at a significant discount to the next closest quote. The work site was always left spotless and Tom and Tom even provided advice and help with non-carpentry related elements, including downspouts, lighting and gardening. Would highly recommend!

Tom and Tom Jr are true professionals from the very first meeting until the last day of work.
Tom spent time with myself and the neighbor to explain every details and steps taken to complete the project. He also made sure that I was kept up to date with everything related to the project.
The workmanship itself is amazing. They take time in the middle to explain what is being done and why certain things need to be done. This is true professionalism!
The finished product is beautiful and the whole neighbourhood is impressed with the work.

Tom and Tommy did an outstanding job in building my new backyard fence. The workmanship and attention to every detail by both Toms made my fence the nicest on my street. Tom fully engaged me in every step of the process right from the start of the fence design right down to every major construction phase of the fence. He patiently answered all my questions and provided me with some great advice to my overall landscaping project this Spring. Both Toms arrived every morning punctually, worked diligently throughout the day, cleaned up after each day, and build a great backyard fence that my wife and I are extremely impressed and happy with.

Project was completed on time and on budget. Workmanship is superb. Tom and Tom arrived on schedule each morning. Close attention was paid to every detail of construction. They were also meticulous about cleaning up at the end of each day and on completion of the job. I am very pleased with the new fence and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I am very happy and satisfied with both jobs that Tom and Tommy completed for me last month and would not hesitate to use them again (if I decide to replace my backyard fence next year...hopefully!). They were very helpful/informative, and their years of experience certainly made me feel very confident.
I had what we thought was a "flagstone" front walkway that was cracked/heaving and had become a hazard. We initially thought the stones could be re-used / re-laid, but that turned out not to be possible. There was no way to know this until they actually got into taking apart the concrete/stones. Tom contacted me right away with a solution and verrry reasonable quote to switch and now go with inter-locking stones. This would now also have to include hauling away the old concrete/stones. He and Tommy had already researched possible colour choices & availability. I met them first thing the next morning to make the decision - then was on my way to work! Painless! I wasn't stuck looking at hundreds of different colours and styles. It turned out beautifully! and I'm very happy with the choice we all made. It's certainly a great improvement to the house's overall curb-appeal! They will also be back to check on the walkway and re-sand between the stones where needed.
The other job was to replace the treads on my deck steps. This was a "last minute add on" to the original job but Tom was very accommodating and had no problem including this request. The stairs look amazing! Soooo happy to have straight cuts, square corners, and solid steps!! (Those steps had bothered me for years.) Their attention to detail is excellent!
Tom's years of experience/skill in both jobs were certainly demonstrated! He was very easy to work with and took time to answer and explain any questions/concerns I had. The jobs were done quickly and the clean-up was excellent, which is much appreciated!

I was most pleased by the initial service offered by the company. There were a few bumps along the way, yet they were eventually smoothed out. I would recommend this company to people seeking a carpenter who is experienced.

Tom and his helper were working on a deck project across the street from me and boy was I lucky to find them. They did an excellent job repairing the back of our garage; Tom's workmanship is top-notch and he kept me up-to-date and informed about the project throughout the job. Both are professional and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. I will definitely call Tom for my next job.

This is the 2nd job that Tom has done for us. As before we were very happy with his work. He was very knowledgable , professional and our fence is beautiful. He and Tom junior are very hard workers and no time is waisted. Tom is an excellent carpenter and we will be using him again. Both Toms and their team are a pleasure to work with. The place was spic and span when they left.
