Re Roofing Ontario

About 4 years ago we bought an older post war house. The neat thing about this place is that it has an addition on the back that is the same square footage as the original footprint of the house. It is one big room with 18 foot ceilings. When we moved in, we knew we would have to re-shingle in a few years. Steve from Re-Roofing Ontario came in and educated us and then quoted us. I had no idea that there was so much to re-shingling a house. Once the shingles came off the back addition, it was a bit of a nightmare. As it turns out, our lovely back 'great room' really was just a 3 season room with almost no insulation (R value of 4 - no wonder we were always covered in layers of blankets when we were in there in the winter). Steve and his guys worked to re-insulate, re-strap and shingle the back roof. They also vented the original front section of the house properly when they shingled there too. The point I am trying to make is that you really need to do your research when you are having your roof done. The expertise of this team is fabulous and Steve really believes in educating his clients. They will make your house 'healthier', they clean up very well at the end of each work day and completion of the project. They were a pleasure to have around and we have a beautiful new roof! We also have a tighter more efficiently heated and cooled 'healthier' house. The capper for us though, was when they were working on the house it was a stormy November/December. Steve came by on a number of stormy nights to climb up on the roof to be sure that everything was secure and protected mid way through the job. Now that is great customer service that you don't get all the time! I would highly recommend using Re-Roofing Ontario for any roofing job. In fact, as I type this review, we have Steve and Cary (one of his great crew members) outside working on some aluminum capping for us! I am sure I will be writing another glowing review. I'll try to keep this short.
First, know that I tend to be somewhat anal. I had seven different roofers quote on replacing the shingles on our roof (an oversimplification). Quotes ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous – literally from $4000 to $20000 – for the same job! From the moment he arrived to do the quote, I could tell that Steve Sweeney of Re-Roofing Ontario was different. Friendly, personable, knowledgeable, helpful. And honest. If he didn't know the answer to something (rare) he had the confidence to look you in the eye and admit it, promising to look into it and get back. Which he always did. When he delivered his quote, his thoroughness in putting it together completely blew me away. Very detailed with costing options regarding everything we had discussed. When I called with additional questions about the quote, he answered them promptly and welcomed more.
Shortly after deciding to go with Steve and his company, he and his crew arrived to do the job. His crew members were always friendly and very polite (one of them even managed to encourage my son to try pitching for my son's softball team [another story]). Our property was respected in every way including nightly clean-ups after they were done for the day.
Three months later I must say I'm very happy with the job done and truly have peace of mind regarding the integrity of our new roof. Thanks again Steve and Re-Roofing Ontario.
