WASP INFESTATION

This company returned my call quickly when 4 others did not. Their unique method of vacuuming the wasps away first and then using deadly powder was the most effective I have ever seen.
I was able to SEE ALL THE WASPS INSIDE THE VACUUM! It turned out to be a very large hive just underneath the siding of my home and there was no way-just spraying would have solved it.
He stayed the whole day to make sure he got them out and did not alter his advance quote one dollar!- So Impressed !

The nest was hidden in some siding and large. The probability for a a wasp issue inside the home was high and so I didn't want to take any chances with dusting alone. Wasps which cannot get out due to dusting can make there way into a home which could be disastrous. My client had a company over last summer for wasps which had to come back 4 times and only with a cold snap did they finally die off. My approach made sense and they didn't want a repeat of last years situation. That all. Joe

Good Guy Pest Control

If you were to look for a Pest Control that is both professional, friendly, affordable, and dedicated; then Joe here is that Pest Control. Not only was he able to quickly and safetly remove our wasp nest, he was also very kind to evaluate our house for other vulnerabilities and provide us some nessesary materials to protect against further pest infestations. Definently the best Pest Control out there and the #1 to call for future infestations. Thank you Joe!

Thanks guys. The nest was straight forward enough and while I was in the garage I spotted some mice evidence which I simply couldn't ignore. There was a slight change in the coloration of some cement work which led me to a few droppings to boot. Two access locations were found and sealed that were worse than the original wasp issue itself. I can't help myself because it seems everywhere I go I see mice stuff. Joe

Wasp Nest Removal

Just want to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Joe for a job well done. I don’t offer unsolicited reviews but I think it's important to let people know how good Joe and his company is with regard to professionalism, punctuality and friendliness. I was faced with a wasp nest outside my home which was annoying and my son was paranoid of playing basketball. . I found out about Snap pest control through the internet and had great reviews Joe went above and beyond ensuring that the nest has been removed and entire cleanup of the area. You can tell Joe has done this before and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend S.N.A.P to anyone who needs work done on their home. I will continue to refer to Joe to all my friends and family. Thanks Joe for the great work and help.….Suresh

Thanks guys for your review. This was a rather large nest and had to be removed. The nest was close to a pedestrian walk way as well and could easily have become dangerous due to its proximity to kids and adults alike. Joe

Pest removal, and Critter Proofing

We had a mouse problem for a few years, and we finally decided to call for some expert help, fortunately for us we called Joe/Snap Pest Control after reading several glowing reviews from HomeStars. To describe Joe, he is an extremely knowledgeable, friendly and honest guy who takes pride in his work, and does a quality job. I am confident that we will benefit from repairs he did to our house for many years as he did the job correctly without cutting any corners or being cheap on materials. For the amount of work he did and the materials he used, he charged us an extremely fair & honest price. In fact one of the jobs we had negotiated was for a one-way door on one of the holes (that we thought squirrels were using), when Joe worked on the issue more closely he found that the hole was too small for a squirrel to squeeze through, and that it just needed patching up without a door, so he knocked $100 off the bill. Very very impressed, and will recommend him to everybody!

Thanks for your review. This was a pest proofing job whereby I spent a whole day at one house. The roof line, the garage, and the perimeter in general get checked and locked down. By pest proofing the home in this manner access points are more apparent because you can see the top and the bottom of a homes walls. My clients had zero tolerance for pests and approached their issue wisely by blocking them out completely instead of simply trying to control them forever. Controlling pests can become a life long endeavor as they come in and out of our lives. I once received a call from a potential client that was hearing some scratching sounds in his 3 rd floor bathroom vanity late one night. The client preceded to tell me that the sounds were consistent and happening over the course of several months in other areas and that he was wondering if anything could be done. I told him that I would start by conducting an inspection and the we could develop a game plan afterwards. When I mentioned to him that there was a small fee for my inspection ( my inspections could take several hours ) he seemed elusive and decided that he would tackle the issue by himself. Three days later this same client came home from work to find water coming down from his third floor bathroom to the point whereby a disaster relief company had to be called in. A rat had eaten some of his store bought rodenticide, become thirsty, and chewed right through a plastic cold water line while everybody was away at work. All the hardwood floors, drywall, trim, baseboards etc.. needed to be replaced. I estimate the cost at well over a hundred thousand dollars in damage was done all because the client wanted to control the pests which had invaded his home himself. He attempted to control the issue by using poison alone and didn't understand the potential circumstances surrounding his decision. Later that week I went to inspect the home and found the access point and installed a 1 way door which would have prevented all this damage in the first place. The rat never came through the door because it had eaten the poison and became lodged in a wall somewhere and added a really foul smell to the already bad situation at the home. When his wife asked me how this could happen he looked me in the eye with a nervousness and fear that I knew all to well. I told her it was nobody's fault that the pipe simply gave way due to shoddy installation by a plumber hired by the builder. The damage was already done.

Help with pesky squirrels

Joe is courteous, extremely professional and gets the job done. We had problems with squirrels and he helped us take care of the problem without incident. And, beyond the immediate issue, Joe was quick to suggest a few inexpensive fixes so that additional problems would not develop in the future. His services are top-notch and very reasonably priced. We would recommend him to anyone out there looking for pest control help. This is our first HomeStars review -- we wanted to recognize Joe's skills and excellent customer service. Thanks Joe!

Raccoon and squirrel proofing

Over years I dealt with a number of wild life control companies. I must tell you that Joe is superior to all of them. Spending a whole day at our house he installed mesh, in many cases re-doing the low quality work by his predecessors. Net result - the house is fully protected, esthetically changed from ugly highly visible poorly installed mesh to a barely visible solution, painted to blend in with the roof. Amazing. Joe takes pride in his work and does whatever it takes to make sure the customer is satisfied. This, coupled with high quality workmanship, makes his service offering truly unique. Highly recommended.

Thanks for your review. I received a call from my client who was clearly not happy with some work which was done to his home. Having arrived at the home in the evening and in the rain he pointed out the offending strip of mesh which was mounted on a corner of his sofit above the upper left hand side of his front door. The mesh itself was attached with large washers and mounted right across the exterior stucco molding and sofit. I didn't like the look one bit and needed to come back and look at the whole job because I was suspicious of the work. The following week I arrived at the home and was informed that the issue initially was raccoon related and a 1 way door was installed higher up on the roof out of visible sight along with mesh on all the dormers. This particular roof had a steep slope and I was told the company installed the mesh on a crazy angle to reach the dormer locations by placing the ladder on the roof itself. This ladder work was conducted to an extent whereby the eaves troughs were scratched and weakened so that I couldn't use a ladder at all for fear of the troughs falling down onto the drive way below. I always use a gutter guard to protect eaves troughs and because of the weakened eaves had to do the job with ropes and a harness. The situation also proved interesting in that the 1 way raccoon door was not attached properly and held on buy huge lag bolts which left large holes into my clients sofit which simply came apart with my bare hands. The raccoon could easily remove the door and probably would have come back in late November had I not removed it all and started over. Also, The mesh itself had a 4 inch vertical gap in it which squirrels could easily re-enter in from, which I found to be totally wrong. These guys used different sized lag bolts (I used a socket set to remove them),screws, and even roofing nails to slap the mesh on. Not one bolt, screw, or nail was caulked with proper roof patch to protect the home from water leaks. How these guys could sleep at night considering the potential for disaster that they left behind was beyond me. The feeling that they just went through their truck bed and scrounged up whatever they could find came upon me. They even left wire and screws and a pair of busted up sun glasses in his eaves. Once everything was removed I spray painted the new mesh beige to match the sofit and black to match the shingles. The job itself turned out well and is practically invisible. The reality is that this type of work is very common and didn't surprise me in the least. Anybody out there that hires a company to do work on their home should take a look at the company's truck. A well organized truck usually means the technician has the tools and equipment to tackle a job well.

Mice Trouble

Joe is AMAZING!!! I was in a panic - having trouble with mice in my house and he was able to make it here to help me out quickly!! He was very thorough and careful in checking all areas of my house out to see where they may have come in ... and then took the time to really cover up the possible entry points. He also put down lots of poison and I haven't had problems ever since! I was away for a few months and even when no one lived in the house, my house was not infested!!! The mice must have been killed!! Thank you so much Joe for willing to come all the way to North York and for being so diligent and thorough with your work!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Thanks for the review. The issue seems to be under control however I will still conduct one more final inspection in the fall as added insurance. The homeowner knows best when a pest problem is persisting because they live there and are able to see potential evidence in real time. The fact that mice evidence was not found even in an empty house over the course of 6 months is a step in the right direction though.

Mouse problem resolved

After suffering from the mice droppings at my furnace room for several months, I tried to put every kind of products from the market, but it continued and I thought that it was beyond my capabilities and I asked for Joe's help. He found the source of the problem from outside hole right away and cemented it. Joe spent about 3 hours to treat inside and outside. Since then, some droppings continued for a week, but it was natural as per Joe and in a week time, the problem has gone till today which is another 5 weeks so far. Joe is excellent and very reliable and knowledgeable too. I would recommend him for this kind of issues confidently.

Thank you for your review. Always have a little cement in my truck for such an occasion. Looks as if we are getting there and a follow up visit in the fall as insurance is important. I like to follow up mouse jobs according to seasons. Spring and fall are the busiest times for mice calls in general. There is a slight tapering off in July and August, otherwise, its full steam ahead. These pesky mice give us only two months off from their mayhem. For those of you out there, lock down your houses while they are locked out because its back to business as usual come late August until around July 2018. Trees look healthy from all that rain and I notice many seeds this year so I'm expecting well fed mice and even a robust population explosion. Joe

Mice issue

After having notice few droppings in early winter, it was a no brainer to call Snap after reading all these reviews. As every review here on homestars says, Joe was very professional and knew what he was doing. Joe spent almost 3 hours making sure, the root cause if fixed, not just the symptom. For the next few months we have not noticed any droppings. Joe as promised, came for a followup and did the same procedure again, and asserted the little trouble is no more. We need to hope that we never get these creatures in our homes, but if we do, Joe is the answer. Thank you Joe !!

Mice

I contacted Joe after trying to deal with mice on our own for about a month. The bait stations we had used were a joke and not addressing the problem. Found him through Homestars and after reading the reviews, I knew I should hire him. I spoke to him on the phone explaining the problem and he came by within the week. He is VERY THOROUGH - he spent about 2.5 hrs inspecting the house inside and out. He found the entry points in the garage (which were high up close to the ceiling not on the floor as one would expect) and baited them heavily, along with the areas in the house where droppings were found. That was almost 8 weeks ago and we have not seen any droppings inside the house since his first visit. On his second visit he sealed the openings and rebaited some areas in case there are some more lingering around. I'm very pleased with his service, his knowledge and friendliness. He will be coming back in the fall for that last inspection and any reinforcements. Thanks Joe!

The mice were clever here but I found their movements and a plan was put into place to block and bait them out. The garage door seal has been changed and with one more follow up in he fall I fully expect to end this issue for good. Thanks again. Joe
