Horrible experience, never again
We had a very bad experience with Bedwell this summer and would not recommend them for many reasons: their security is lax, their consideration of your belongings poor, and their ownership of any issues practically non existent. We stored furniture with them, some of which were taken in a break-in, without them knowing. We only discovered this when the police called to let us know about items they had in their possession. To give them credit one of the missing items Bedwell paid to replace, and they gave a discount, but there were other items they claimed were not taken in the break-in yet never arrived here despite “being checked out of the warehouse” and they will not/cannot explain where they are. We constantly had to call and email and follow up with no response, there was no ownership or responsibility. And when we escalated to their parent company, they said they couldn’t help as “ This was an Intra-Canadian relocation and the agents act under their own authority”.
Asides from those issues, items were broken or damaged during the move like a $300 vase which their insurance paid only $20 for (insurance is paid out by weight of item not value) as well as nicks and dents, including on our piano and our walls.
Long story short, we will not be using Bedwell nor North American ever again. We thought we would be safe with a big company like North American, but sadly this was not the case.
