This company was hired to overhaul our relatively large backyard. The work they contracted to provide included: removing all existing sod; regrading the yard, installing new soil and sod, cutting out new garden beds, planting a number of agreed trees and plants, and istalling a concrete pad for a garden shed.
1. Installation of a concrete pad for a shed has still not been completed, more than a month after a group of individuals came to our home to frame the area. They appeared to be confused about what they were doing and how to do it, used our teak table as a sawhorse (until my husband asked them to stop), and miscalculated the installation area, ripping out a foot of new sod in the process. My husband was told by the company rep - Sue - to communicate with her by text message so he has sent multiple text messages to Sue asking when this work will be completed. After the first message, she replied that the installation would be completed at the end of July and she has not responded to any messages since. It is now September.
2. Despite us showing extremely diligent care for the new sod ( I am out there at 6 am most days watering) it has gotten more patchy every day. We are very concerned that new soil was not added to the yard before the sod was laid. That step would have been essential in establishing a healthy lawn so we made sure it was included in the agreement.
3. One of the purple beech trees that was planted seems to have a parasite or other disease.
4. Pear trees were "planted" so high in the soil that their roots are exposed. I have covered them with a bit of mulch but am very concerned about the root exposure.
5. At least one of the hydrangeas they planted had a disease.
I have sent a comprehensive note, including photos, to Leader, but they are completely unresponsive. We do not recommend this company.
