I submitted my year-end form with Tarion based on the deficiencies report from Phil. My builder was not willing to resolve some of the major issues listed in the form. The third-party hired by Tarion for the conciliation also felt no need to warrant those issues. At this point, about a year has passed since the inspection with Phil. I assumed that Phil would no longer remember or keep a record of my inspection. However, I didn't have anyone else to reach out to for advice, so I still decided to contact Phil, with little hope that he'll remember my inspection a year ago. To my surprise, Phil kept a record of my inspection and was able to provide advice on who to contact (for instance, contacting the City of Ottawa building inspections department), what information to provide to Tarion and the builder, and what were the options for proceeding forward. Phil also reached out to me and provided me with additional information and support to resolve the issues. With Phils support, my confidence was boosted and I did a Tarion reconciliation. Now, all of my issues are resolved to my satisfaction. I know this is not possible without Phil's advice and support.
