I had Nino and his team come in and put interlocking stone from the road along the driveway, to the porch and all the way into my backyard. My front yard now has such nice curb appeal and I can walk right to the backyard with out having to step on the grass or garden. Nino and his team are very professional, they explained exactley what they would be doing and the timeline. I really like his customer service as I had many questions and each of my concerns were treated with respect. Nino also came back a few weeks later when we realized that one of the stones were cracked and he replaced it.

This past summer I was looking to have two porches covered in flagstone. I called True North Interlocking and met with Nino. He was very thorough and took the time to answer questions, explain the process and was very flexible in offering options. His quote was competitive so we had the company commence work (I had met with half a dozen other contractors, but felt comfortable dealing with Nino). Before signing off, we were provided multiple samples and were never pressured to make impulsive decisions. We were provided references and addresses where we could see projects that they had completed earlier. During the process, Nino and his crew were very accomodating and took the time to ensure that we were happy with the work being completed. Nino didn't hesitate to make changes if we weren't completely satisfied, and I'm extremely pleased with the outcome.

The comfort level with his crew resulted in True North Interlocking building four retaining walls around the culverts at our driveway entrances. I checked the samples, and away we went with the project. All in all...two fairly substantial projects...one very happy customer.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend True North Interlocking and am considering other projects this summer where we will be sure to call him back in to do the work.

Have a ravine property with retaining walls that were bulging, stone work that was old and cracked, as well as stairs that led to the bottom of the propert that needed to be repaired and leveled. The project started with the bare necessities as it was late in the season, (November\December). The weather, the cost as well as the workmanship permitted us to finish our wish list for this season. Nino and the crew did everything to make things go smoothly and checked with us to make sure we were pleased at each stage of the work as it progressed. They will be back in the spring for a new project with us and we are happy to continue to work with them.

We have called and met with a few Interlock contractors based on high reviews from this website. Nino from True North stood out from the rest by projecting an image of a seasoned “hands on” professional with down to earth attitude. Few things impressed me right from the start:
He did not have this ‘salesmen’ mask that you some times see in people that just want to get your business.
He didn't criticise our ideas or visions (like some did), however made his recommendations and suggestions explaining pros and cons.
He was reasonably priced compared to some other quotes that I received before, It was not the lowest number as well.
After checking references and previous jobs, we granted contract to True North Interlocking.

Nino pointed out a drain issue on a side walk and recommended a solution.
True North team were accurate, respectful and polite, they always did clean job and cleaned up the place before leaving.
Of course as in every project there were misunderstandings and mistakes made from both sides, I am talking about our poor decisions as well, but and i want to emphasize it, we were able to resolve those discrepancies and still maintain positive friendly attitude, I think this is one of the key qualities that is so rarely seen between people.

At the end the job was done, corrections that needed to be made were made. I am confident that Nino will stand up for his word and will provide a good support in future if required.

Overall we are very pleased with our choice and we would hire True North again.

I picked this company from the internet because I liked their name! I spoke with Nino, explained it was for the front walkway, very simple. I picked my stones, the quote was reasonable and it was what we paid. The job was done promptly, and the crew was courteous and professional. No problems with anyone. The walkway looked refreshed and made the house look much better! Great job! I have recommended this company to friends.

We called True North Interlock based on the reviews on this website for a quote. Nino put us at ease in explaining how the work would be done, and provided us with references so we could see examples of his work. We visited one of their jobsites in progress with three homes that were side by side in Newmarket. He was the only contractor who said he would dig 10 inches and offered a 3 year guarantee on the workmanship. Nino also pointed out a grading issue to our neighbour. Based on this, we and our neighbour hired True North to interlock our backyard patios.

Nino’s crew came to work during some of the hottest days in July and early August. The patio stones were laid in a pattern that looks much better than the suggested patterns in the brochures. We appreciate the time they took to cut our border pieces into wedges for the outside curves of the patio rather than cut little wedge pieces to fill the gaps.

The only thing we would have done differently is to get all the details of the work to be done written into the contract. This would have helped to avoid any misunderstandings and ensure the work was completed as expected.

We appreciate Nino’s understanding and professionalism as he and his crew worked diligently to address our concerns. We look forward to enjoying our patio in the years to come and are assured Nino will be there to stand behind his work such as fixing any grading issues.

We recently hired Nino and his crew to install an interlocking pathway and flagstone porch in front of our house.
